Hello,
I entered a frigate competition, 1vs1 tech 1 frigs and gear(nothing named), the one to warp out looses.
I can use Gallente frigs only.
Since i have no pvp knowledge i came here for some suggestions:
What ship/gear to use for fast kill?

1) Is ewar alowed?
2) Are drones alowed?
An Incursus or Maulus does nasty damage with drones/blasters.
The two schools of thought on frig fighting are this:
1) In web range
2) Beyond web range
In web range you must fit a webber yourself and you also need to either deal a lot of damage or be able to take it or both.
Beyond web range you need to be fast, as well as agile, and have an optimal that is at least high enough that you can get good hits at 12-15km.
Problem is there is no way to predict what your enemy will do. If you're both setup for style 1 then it's a 50/50 shot of who can take/do more damage. If you both end up as style 2 then you'll probably have a stalemate. If you're style 2 and your enemy is style 1 and he can tank your damage but can't hit you then you have another stalemate.
Assuming most people will go for style 1:
If you choose style 1 you must tank/deal more damage than your enemy
If you choose Style 2 you must deal more damage than the enemy can tank or hope he is HP tanked

Ewar should be allowed , it takes a whole lot of frigate cap to run...
Alpha strike is something to consider. Missile / artillery setups can mess up tanks with no plate / extender.

tbh i've entered these in the past and found that every time the winner was the 1 who went fast, stayed at range and sniped.

methinks Rifter with 280mm
AB dual web
nano x 2 adaptive nano plating and the largest plate you can fit
that way u can charge into web range, dual web, and arty own.
its a gamble, but its paid off for me in frig 1v1's more than its failed.

eek asking the wrong person mate tbh. i don't give ship advice unless i know a lot about that type of ships and i only ever use close range frigs. someone else i'm sure can help with a rails/arty setup frig.
