I think this is the most annoying sound EVE has ever had. And that includes the "your hull is about to go ka-boom" warning klaxon.
Someone was a little too high on Red Bull when they thought of this.

I just think with all the hundreds and hundreds of comments over various media since it's arrival, there hasn't been a single acknowledgment from a dev, Usually we get an "Ok, were looking what we can do, please be patient" message somewhere, but not with this.
It's obviously a universally unwanted addition, strange we have no response,
If it's some sort of early April fools joke, I'm not impressed and I'm starting to think this was the real reason the patch was delayed by 24 hours, to shoe-horn the sound effect in
