Im not quite sure why the OP is so pleased with himself, this is hardly the stuff of legend. He ganked my mission running drake with his gang after admittedly chasing me all day, didnt get the killmail. I was freindly enough with him and offered him a fair price for the loot.

I'm confused. If you ask me, if you didn't make the kill, then the "victim" is well within their rights to withold that Killmail from you.

I feel the same about the post, the tundragon guy didnt smack at all. He just said plain no, while the other guy kept whining for the killmail. If people dont want to give it they dont want to give it, you got the loot thats all you need.
Killmail *****s are just grinders, they dont play eve for the fun. If you want to grind you know where to go.
/edit: Allthough i allways ask aswell, but thats because i want to keep killboard 100% accurate. If someone would convo me for killmails i would just redirect em to our killboard.
Why dont you do that btw? Just go to the Tundragon killboard. Doesnt matter if he is killed by a npc, he still died, so it should be there.

Don't bother Fog, our entire corp tries to teach Jacko the basics of spelling and grammar but it's usually in vain.
Basically what happened was jacko probed out a mission runner, and the guy said that it was lame. A member of a well known pirate corp, calling another pirate lame for probing him out while doing a mission. I think that was the point he was trying to make.
We all found it funny on ventrilo anyway.

So after ganking the guy and not recieving the killmail, YOU convo him and ask for the killmail, he says no so YOU ask why and he gives you his own personal reason. YOU keep bugging him and he declines while being polite.

I disagree. First, if the kill mail is so important to someone, like the OP, there is a problem imo. Second, if the NPCs/Sentries/whatever get the final blow on someone I'm shooting at, I never ask for the kill mail. That's just rude, tbh... you just tried to gank them and take their stuff, and now you want a kill mail to gloat about it, or post on a killboard? I have enough respect for the people I kill to not ask for the mail if I'm not on it. Nor do I smack in local, or convo them to brag, etc.
So if someone is on a killmail where the rats got me, they don't get a kill mail from me. If the kill mails are their motivation in pvp, as I've said, there is a serious issue, and if it matters that much to them, they can go out with better dps, not use sentries/npcs to do their fighting for them, or pay me for the kill... which just happens to be the cost of whatever I've lost.

This thread isnt about the OP trying to keep his killboard up to date - the threads title says it all. Its about him thinking he has done something really clever and wanting to share it with the rest of us. The problem is that he didnt do anything clever and then he made a bit of a prat of himself by begging for something he didnt earn.
Putting "lol, look at this!" or "Zomg i pwn this guy!" in front of a medicore event dosnt make it any more interesting - it just makes the OP look dull and desperate for attention.

I stick to my guns here. If you need the killmail so bad, to "keep your killboard accurate," there is a serious problem.
Yes I post my kills on the killboard, but I don't go out of my way to get kills I was "on." Harassing someone about it is juvenille. It should be "GF" or silence durning and after a kill, thats it. That is how I am going to play the game, because I know whats what and don't care about the mails or the points on a killboard.
I also know it can be hard to lose a ship, that people take it personal, even if they shouldn't, so why antagonize them by asking for a killmail so that I, quite frankly, can announce to the world that I killed you?
Classless, imo.
