I was wondering if there was anyway to remove those silly little red crosses that appear on npc ships during missions, id find combat in Eve much more emersive if i could actually see the ship i was shooting at or due to it be at long distance perhaps just have a red square or red marker next to it, ive being in a fleet battle before and it just looked really silly with all those little red crosses everywhere.
Id also like general taken out, that just makes each region as i enter it feel like a "theme park" type mmorgp, asteroid belts should also be scanned for to make game more emmersive and seem less theme park liked.

go into 0.0 - there arent any red crosses there, well not the same ones anyway - and that is real combat.

Those red crosses are there because most of the time the ships are so distant you'd not see them otherwise from the POV that is standard in Eve. If you approach close enough you will see the ships, and-- this is SHEER conjecture since I've not tried it-- you cntrl-tab to remove the interface those crosses might disappear. Others can confirm or deny that hypothesis I'm sure.

There's a shortcut you can hit that removes all the display stuff. I find it to be quite nice when doing a mission, to have unobstructed views of a few dozen ships shooting me while I kill them one by one.

Yup, you can see them just fine from up close
I'm just an Alt....but my main doesn't have a sig either.

in game, press ctrl + f9. that'll remove everything...
