CCP, please, close your game. Close your game before you can
a) Make people that SHOULD and NEED to know a POS is either ran out of fuel and under attack ran out of fuel or under attack. If you introduce systems and game play that requires a corp to handle 150 POSses and then you can't even be arsed to fix a bug that causes people involved not to know whats happening to POSses - . . and then you DARE to send DEVs that have no idea how POSses work to come complain... ffs.
b) Allow systems to actually LOAD fights in less than 50 minutes. Now, I can somehow understand loading a fight for 20 minutes. Maybe for 30 minutes. But hey, waiting for 50 minutes to know if your just dead or not.... WTF?
I don't know if my POSses are under attack, I don't know if my POSses have ran out of fuel, I don't know if I'm in a fight or not.... yeah. Great.

True. And drunk to add to that. And quite ready to quit the stupid game not because of the great war (which I love), but because devs total lack of knowledge of their own game.

I suggest that you not put so many POS's up that you can't manage them. Sounds like someone lost a few POS's because they were too lazy to actually check their status. Don't blame the game for your laziness and post with your main next time.

agreed there should be better POS monitoring tools and security sa***uards, but your post fails to deliver anything of value or interest.
and post with your main.

Actually, not at all. Problem is, that because of a game bug I need to spend 23 hours a day flying thru POSses to check if something has happened or not. I'd rather spend that 50 minutes to load a battle.
You honestly think that's good way to spend gametime? Yes, I could just do what CCP apparently wants me to do - start a new account with less roles and get the mails. But there's not much point in that, is there?

Edited by: Shania Twain on 11/02/2007 00:03:53 Well, but how can that be? Here http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=473335 we can read, that the DEVs play the game, because they need the experience for delevoping and programming the game. No idea, why so many bugs are in the game then!

Would be nice to see how much time is spent playing eve at work by the devs.
Maybe this is the reason we have no bugs in eve.

Configure Starbase Equipment role in corp will allow you to see when pos's are low oin fuel or under attack.
Do not complain that the tools are not in place when you are simply not using the ones that are currently working

Krashtest (or anybody else who knows): Are you reffering to the email you get when the POS is low on fuel or there is actually a way to check how much fuel I have @ any time? I only have one POS but still. I looked into corporation/home/stations and corporation/home/offices but nothing there... :(
Thanks in advance |

No it wont. And it'll also give you access to steal/disable all PoSs the corp owns, so even if it did (again, it doesnt) you couldn't use it without risking all your stations and PoSs being stolen.

There is NO such way. What I did when I was running 30 PoSs at once by myself, is I wrote a web app that tracked how much fuel each had. When I loaded fuel in it I updated the web page for that PoS and it told me at any given time how much time I had left of each fuel type and the amount of each fuel type to bring to the PoS to fill it to optimal amount given the stront-load in it.
I'd offer you a copy but I'd have to clean some stuff out of it first, and I'm not so interested as I've quit because of the whole recent scandal and CCPs attempts to brush it under the rug, locking any thread discussing their poor handling of the whole thing and preferential treatement of BoB leadership over others.
The only way to get the low fuel messages is to become a Director or CEO of the corp. Unless it's changed recently.
