Well i would just suggest waiting for the main servers to come up, give it 3-4 days. then if you still don't like it (i don't think i will like taking 1 hour to travel 10 jumps at all tho) then make a post stating that you don't. No need to argue, or wine until the server is up and we can all give it a go for a few days. If the travel times go up beyond what the player base can withstand then i'm sure ccp will adjust things again.
But over all i am pleased with the patch, tho this locking time scares me. But we will wait and see what happens.

""If u want another mwd for your crusier, guess what its tech 2 and u have to build it, Oh wait, You cant coz it takes Morphite, And u can't mine that without the skill and the laser that takes morphite as well""
This is wrong information,i just bought a 100 mn MWD BP and a 100 mn AB..they both tech level one and can be used right now.
they working pretty good i must say..
the new MWD takes only 25 % of the shield out.. witch is much better than before.. but require a lots of capacitor though.

Let's see...where to begin:
1. Travelling was already a tedious task. Now it has become more tedious. Slower ships, must be closer to jump gates to jump, and from what I hear, closer to stations to dock. Compound this problem with being placed as far out as 45-50km in some instances from your warp in point. Makes for some long journeys.
2. Training times have apparnetly doubled...seeing progress or improvement in your character has now slowed to less than a "snail's pace." CCP was under the impression that skill training was too fast, but this is now too slow and I am not alone in this view.
3. Mining has now become a group...make that a party affair. Some systems have dropped in security status so people that were mining there previously suddenly find themselves unable to play as they had before...there goes the neighborhood. I've read about several ship losses due to these changes.
4. The skill panel is becoming entirely too cluttered with tons of numbers. That's just my opinion, but is a change I am not too thrilled about. At least have an option to enable/disable it.
5. I do like the new ship control panel and being able to determine how long it will take to train a skill without having to actually start training it...good job on that one.
All in all...I personally am not thrilled with this patch and am actually more displeased with this than I have ever been with any game. May be time to try another one...

I would have thought that CCP would make changes to help IMPROVE gameplay and make the game more fun... I should have known better, especially since I actually work in the industry. Silly me.
1. Traveling, I do not want to pay 12 bucks/mo per account to watch my ship fly through space for an hour to go 13 jumps!
2. Once I finally pay through the nose for the 100mn AB for my ship I find that it is still incredibly slow... oh and all my cap went out the window. Mind you all, I have lvl 4 skills at minimum for all ship systems.
3. My once-valueable ABs such as YS-8's are now WORTHLESS, unless I want to put them on my frigate...
4. Frigates... what I see everyone flying now since the cruisers and BS are so slow that it takes too long to get around.
5. Can't mine like I used to anymore, used to have 2 BS run cover for a couple of Thoraxes mining and occasional indy pick ups, now indies will get smoked the minute they get close enough to the cans... except there won't be any because my thoraxes would have already been smoked. My BS retreat to station to repair after all the pirate ships have beaten them down and they run out of cap... mind you the pirate ships have unlimited cap, launch missiles faster and never need to reload.
6. My corp will likely be forced to merge with a larger corp since our 10 member corp isn't big enough to compete anymore...
7. I feel like I've been forced to change every aspect on how I play the game and find I don't really have the energy or inclination to do so.
In the industry radically changing the game and upsetting the majority of the customers is called "killing the franchise" I am betting that unless things improve that there won't be many of us waiting around for the expansion pack.
And for all you peeps who like to say "adapt or **** off" You can go fornicate yourselves with your Eve CDs, CCP wanted the community to help drive the storyline and gameplay, all they seem to be succeeding at now is driving the community to grief.
Guess I'll hang out for a few days and see how things go and hope for the best.

Intoccabile,
They may very well be on their way to Kill this Franchise... I cancelled and will observe things for improvement. In the meantime, I will go back to Anarchy Online and SWG. I have this odd suspicion that I am not alone...

Intoccabile, you are spot on. I whole heartedly agree. Add to your list that mining lasers now cripple your cap as well.
I intend to take a few days off to make sure it's not kneee jerk reaction to this mess and come back to likely give everything to a friend and go play something fun (like eve used to be)

I just might pi(s)s off after this one But I'll give them a week or so before making the final decision. Who knows, they might roll back ______

By doing a rollback they would loose even more customers.
What CCP has to implement/learn (IMHO) is:
a) changes to the game dynamics have to be done GRADUALLY so that player can adapt to it over time and not from one day to the other. b) give player new content CONTINOUSLY !
And to the many that now would like to respond "Go to Chaos and you can see the changes gradually coming up" I reply with "I am not paying on a monthly basis to test a game for other players or CCP ! I am playing because I wanna have fun in what I am doing ingame."
If CCP wants a group of fierce BetaTester for their Chaos server, offer them something in return (discounted TQ account, name a system/station/pirate after them).
There are a lot of players on Chaos at times, that's true. But if you look at them and what they do you will figure out that most of the time they do nothing else then trying to gain an advantage over the non Chaos testing players. What the advantage could be, that I leave to your imagination.

Quote: you live in a dreamworld RONA person:
The other problem with MWDs is the Stain Allaince and CC people who use 2 at once and therefore are invincible.
Invincible travel is wrong.
Blame them
So then you should not be able to jump or warp with out getting damage too huh? You should not have to take damage when your not fitted to take it, that is why people used dual mwd's. Not to fight, to get out, just as a means of travel. Just like jumping and warping.
_________________________________________ quote: Do the devs ever actually [b]read]/b] any of our comments?? _________________________________________
Yes, they dev Tomb got over 22 pages of bad responses to his idea of better pvp by adding warp disruption. If you get 22 pages of complaints about mwd/ab here then a change will be made im sure.
There are about 100,000 things that ccp could improve on rather than limiting and crippling miners/producers. 1. Make actual missile turrets rather than your ship spitting out missiles from the nose. 2. When your ship gets ready to warp, make it enter subspace or something that it wont get stuck on a rock or station, OR, limit the amount of times you can break warp so that people cant break warp 100 times while your trying to lock them. 3. PVP: If you take an aggressive act against people in their system you cannot leave for a certain amount of time since your last shot fired. 4. PVP: follow someone that enters warp. 5. Increase the cargo of everyship. Nerfing the cargo size of bs's means you can only carry so much ammo. 6. Bring in new ore/minerals that are heavier and more expensive driving the prices down of other minerals. Dont nerf the expanders so that ships cannot carry as much. 7. CPU for dcm lasers is sick. New technology as in tech 2 bs should be able to mine the good rox just as a frigate.
I could keep giving ideas, but I need to get paid for them. LOL nooo, I mean get a better test server and get more people to test for you. I suggest an equal amount of miners/producers/pvpers so that you will see the sh*t b4 it hits the fan and people get ****ed off or cancel their accounts to wait for the game to evolve to catch up and make more sense. Tech 2 is more of a nerf so that you have months to train to get back to the same level, it bought ccp time for players that are n00bs but for the more experienced players it just makes the game more unappealing. I see tons of bs pilots now, so I feel like im not the only one that is mad about getting a bs nerfed.

Well, I'm not a big fan for the new changes. But, I like to read how people are whining about MWD and AB's being nerfed. I particularly don't like sitting around an hour to travel somewhere. Thank God I had invested in multiple BS's, Cruisers, Frigates, Indy's, and a whole lot of shuttles in each of my main operating spots. Although sometimes I do have to haul long distances but that is what a book is for. ______________________

OK, here goes:
If out-of-warp travel is reduced the "window" for ambushes vanishes so "we" need that to have player pirates (I'm not one). If travel time needs to be cut, let's reduce warp travel as that's the real "I'm-just-moving-along-and-cannot-do-anything" time involved.

The excessive time it takes to travel anywhere is unacceptable. Even with the new ab's it is nothing compared to how it used to be. I have become more disapointed with CCP's game development after every patch. EVE used to be a "FUN" game to play, after each patch the "FUN Factor" has gone down considerably. The players of EVE are asking for a "CONTENT" patch not a "REMOVAL of CONTENT" patch. I mean not only are the MWD's / AB's nerfed but various other things are just not acceptable.
1. MWD's / AB's Nerf 2. Mining Lasers drain capacity?? 3. NPC Demand or market is virtually non-exsistent
I understand CCP believes people were making to much money before hand, but now making money has become more like work than "FUN"
If a game isn't "FUN" to play then the player basis for that game will diminish. Personally I am getting tired of paying for a game that has been all to slow to introduce content and then when they do they change the whole dynamics of the game. I have been training my character for months with a specific direction in mind. Now I must change that direction entirely as the old direction I was heading is no longer profitable. Please listen to your player basis before you lose it.
