Mods, this really isn't a flame, and I know there are other topics but they don't really cover this point. I do NOT want this thread hijacked, and I don't want lots of crappy propaganda, I want a neutral person to tell me how much space has been lost by either/any party, and what the general consensus on what the outcome will be.
I've, unfortunately, been out of the game for a few days, and am as such only getting to grips with the recent scandal.
It seems there has been a reflex large war between corporations, D2 et. al. vs. BoB, LV et. al.
I was just wondering how this war is going?

clearly out of character so it will get locked but it is a fair question and i will answer it.
LONG ANSWER:
the war only stared on friday night, BoB went over to LV space to help them defend it against a combined onslaught from goon/ra/ca/tcf/iac/be/whoever else there was. in the last three days i believe that the assault on JV1V has been held back by LV/BoB/RISE forces on several occasions, and from the looks of their killboards, there have been several either fleets or large roaming gangs from BoB/LV spreading out and resucuring LV land and slightly pushing into TCF and Goon/RA space. LV have lost one reported large battle, but besides that LV/BoB/RISE have won all other large scale battles (not talking small ganks here).
Goons will say they play this way to lose ships, but it seems as though the LV/BoB/RISE forces have stopped the "coalitions" advances and are just starting to push them back a little. Will have to get official responses from people in those alliances, but that is my opinion from reading the forums and viewing the killboards (well except for RISE's killboard, i dont know where that is).
The D2 conflict is a different thing, as soon as BoB went east, D2 who was maybe expecting a BoB invasion on them decided to attack into fountain as BoB had moved to the east. Reports about D2 in fountain have been less then forth coming, i have heard they moved massive capital fleets south, in excess of 50 capitals (including their titan). The only report i have heard is there was one major battle and FIX/frineds won convincingly. But given the shear weight of capitals that D2 moved south i imagtine FIX/friends will wage a geurilla warefare style tactic. Will be interesting to see if FIX can stop the D2 horde of ships, FIX are known for their resolve and grit, and figt to the death and then fight some more mentality, so time will tell.
SHORT ANSWER:
it has only just begun.

Tonight CA had a big engagment versus LV. CA won quite convincingly and LV even lsot a carrier in this battle. Here is a battle overveiw. Linkage
(There were more ships invovled on both sides than the overveiw states but this is the majority of what was killed)

There have been a few roaming Fast Attack fleets into Ra/Goon territory particularly scalding pass ... i know that myself in one of these gangs, we got stopped by d2 which was ironic.

bob LV killed 2 dreads and 2 carriers from tfc and others the other day and did you see on foums someone braggin bout that?

From what I can gather, with out reading to much into propeganda, LV defeded their system with the help of bob, POS's came out of reinforced and were not blown up, at least maybe not all of them.
They still have sov of 7v afaik.
In fountain, D2 have moved in, they use thier Erebus (titan) to jump portal thier fleet around alot. I've been involved in 1 fleet fight so far in pnq, which we came out on top. We got lucky and insta popped thier cyno ship, so no cap fleet. There was another engagement in 7bx, this time the titan was there and DD'd 90~ ships, I think they came out on top there.
Nothing really big has happened yet in fountain, I think D2 are just poking around to see if they can find a soft spot, so the real big fights are still to come.

Right now, Its a lot of positioning going on no real major, major decisive battles. I think alot of the major parties are doing lots and lots of logistics at the moment. LV I think cant extend themselves too far, because of the titan they have cooking. However with the titan ability they have the ability to get back in system. I think this weekend and the upcoming weeks will see more "significant" changes.
