Since March Update I've CTD'd four times in L4 Damsel and three times in L4 Gone Berserk (about half the time I've done these two missions). Have yet to CTD anywhere else.
Looking for ideas, two of the seven crashes resulted in sound looping and ctrl-alt-del not working, requiring a power cycle.
- Win7 x64, i2500k, GTX980. - GPU and CPU temps were normal (40c and 35c respectively), memory usage normal ~2.5GB, etc. - Eve running DX11, windowed fullscreen, Vsync 60fps (intervalwhatever), one client. - No background tasks apart from foobar2k... Firefox and/or EFT may have been open on 1 or 2 occasions.
Nothing on my end had changed prior to the crashing. The last hardware change was over a year ago (980) and drivers hadn't been touched in ~4 months (was using 359.00 Nvidia driver).
Things I've tried:
- Eve Repair Tool (nothing to repair). - Eve settings > Clear Cache Files. - Latest Nvidia drivers (364.51 WHQL). - Latest discrete sound drivers (Xonar Unified 1.80r3). - Latest MSI Afterburner (4.2.0). - Windows Update, DirectX up to date. - dxdiag shows no issues. - Malwarebytes + Avast full scan: clean. - Disabled GPU audio processor (somehow had re-enabled itself, probably when updating driver).
It has CTD'd twice since the above fixes were attempted.
Any suggestions/ideas/etc would be appreciated, thanks! |

Hasn't crashed yet since I cleared out shared resource cache and downloaded again... about 10 hours now, including 3-4 of the aforementioned trouble spots. Knock on wood I guess. |

Seems like GPU driver is crashing or something? GPU temp was 38c at time of crash, latest driver... um, any help please? |

Nvdia march drivers are bugged. You can rollback driver. I advise uninstall display driver completely and clean install 362.00 |
