Edited by: Loraine Riesel on 13/12/2003 13:11:43 First of all I have a very great time in EVE from the start in May and I like to see a long life for this great game with over 10.000 players ingame in the future.
What worries me is that, if CCP wants more income in $ and Ç, they better not change or nerf ships, equipment and skills that are allready in place. Too much time and effort has been put in those things and changes will kill a players mood to stay in the game. Once something is in the game, it should not be changed (tiny tweaking is ok), since this will just start players to cancel their accounts and start playing other games. Adding new content is great for keeping players in this game, but leave the current content unchanged.
Let CCP think before acting or become broke very soon. Test all new stuff very carefully for a longer period, before applying it hastly to Tranquility. Once the changes are applied there's no way back and the current changes on Chaos will lead to a lot of players becoming frustrated.
Also a lot of pirates and lookalikes are of course testing on Chaos, but what with the many traders/miners/builders that are too busy in Tranquility each day? They don't have time to test on Chaos because it won't bring any proffit. So this part of the testing is giving very little attention, but has impact on most paying customers in EVE.
No comments are needed, i won't reply.
CCP just use this info and see fit. |

That doesn't matter. The problem still remains. Nerfing stuff seriously annoys players. I understand them completely, even as I understand the developers' need to constantly fine-tune the game.

The problem with Chaos is in my opinion that it¦s easy for fighters/pirates to just pick up a ship and modules and go out to fight.
For researchers and builders it¦s not the same story. Research agents give out bp¦s, all fine and dandy about that but it takes time getting them. Time better spent on TQ making isk that will be there the next day.
just my 2 isk

What you have to realize is that leaving something out of balance is worse. You must fix that which is not proper. So what if someone has this or that, you cannot leave it and ignore the future balance of the game for a few people. So, get used to this nerfing until the correct balance is reached, which will get less dramatic over time.
Your whining about it will fall onto deaf ears, as all of the dev team also knows that balance is paramount, regardless of the time you have into it. That isone of the pains of being an early player in such a vast undertaking. Sure, it hurts, but imagine if some of the beta rules were still in place? The corrective nerfing will get smaller and smaller as time passes and the balance becomes closer. Have patients and embrace the new rules because in the end they make the game better for everyone.
Life isn't fair, and anyone that tells your different is selling something. -Domaru

Speak for yourself and all the other people who dont like changes can go away. The game doesnt work properly, so things must change. Nerf like like crazy I say, because the game will be better, and the stubborn selfish sobs can go because they will get more paying customers with a better game. ____________________________________ Taggart wants YOU.
