Its an in game item that you must purchase from CCP only. Its price would be that of a greater monocle. It would ONLY be awarded to an account that has stayed unsubbed for lets say a year and only at the END of that year. So you would purchase it for said account, unsub and not sub for a year and THEN you would have your gold retirement watch on your wrist for your character. If you sub sooner than that you lose the item itself.
Say $500-1000 item.

Imam: That's right.

You could by a real gold (plated) watch with the money you save from not subbing for a year.
On a related note. Do people actually still wear watches? I thought that died out with the popularity of the mobile phone. I sure haven't worn one for a decade or more. But then, maybe I'm just more pragmatic than fashionable.

edit: just be sure your watch aesthetically matches any rings you are wearing. Details are important after all.

I like a nice watch. Bought a Tissot one when in New York. Looks good, and funnily enough I wore it at a job interview. Got the job, so you're right! |

If getting hired is dependent on wrist fashion, I wouldn't want the job anyway. I came to my interview in dress pants, a button-up, and a hoodie. |

Been looking for these answers. I've always had a big watch that I never wear. Multiples as that's what I sometimes asked to get for Christmas. I've always liked them, but nowadays I ogle at Urwerk watches and whatnot. THOSE are some clocks I tell ya.

Mr Epeen I still wear a watch most of the time, easier to glance at my wrist than dig out my phone. Never understood why people decided to stop wearing watches just because their phones have clocks on them. |

I always liked watches, but wearing a watch became essential when I first started my national service and spent the first weeks at the Army boot camp. No mobile phones or any electronic device allowed for weeks on end. No TV, no radio, no nothing.
When you are training outside in the sun, in the snow and in the mud, and you are told to crawl through mud again in pouring rain with all the joints and muscles in the body aching, you really do want a watch on your wrist, because the only comfort you get is "XX more minutes to go, then it's lunch/dinner break", because in the army, no matter how harsh the training, one thing they religiously stick to in the army training camp is breakfast/lunch/dinner schedule :p

they don't even stick to the meals, we set up a command tent less about 300 yds from a dfac and wasn't allowed to eat breakfast or lunch, finally late afternoon they bring us an MRE for lunch. I quit wearing a watch because they kept breaking, not once have a broke a phone + when I got to South Korea my "leadership" would depend on texts all the time, even in emergency formations because the first thing I look at at 5am is my phone for a text.

That's funny, 'cause I did my compulsory training with ROK Army actually lol. Maybe because it was training camp that I was in, not professional soldier stuff. I've heard that the guys in the Marine or Special Ops get kind of 'hunger' training though, where they have to go through a week with minimal sleep/food. For hilly billy grunts like me who pass through the training camps they do stick to meal schedules. Otherwise there'd be a riot lol. |

As a sales rep some rudimentary jewelery like polished steel/gold watch is always good for driving home the idea that you're worth the time. After all - unsuccessful people cant afford that stuff.
On a related note to OP yeah I'm sure ccp will really want to encourage people to unsub for benefit.
I mean EA might do it but they're consecutively the winner of worst business in USA so it's not surprising its standard operating procedure for cynics at this point.
