no wonder you lose subs.. jesus im playing in highsec and concord kills me because i had an ecm to stop the rats in the lvl 4 deadspace mission from jambing me and some guys randomly warps ontop of me and gets me flagged no wonder your hemorrhaging subs i cant play solo in high sec space without worrying about everything this game has changed so much for the worse in the past 4 years... i was ignoring all the people saying stay away because i thoroughly enjoy this game but their is nothing enjoyable about what just happened especially as a player just wanting to come back and high sec play it. |

ECCM? This doesn't make sense, jams aren't AOE and ECCM does nothing to opposing ships.
You were either being dumb and running a smartbomb in highsec, or locked the guy up and shot him.
EVE is a game where every action has risks and consequences. If you can't handle that, by all means, quit and go find yourself a theme park. The rest of us enjoy it - you can be incredibly creative with game mechanics in a game like EVE. |

Fun Fact: when someone enters the range of an offensive area-of-effect module you are using in high-sec, it will deactivate automatically. The only way to turn it back on (while the other player is in range) is to press your security button (next to your capacitor HUD) and turn off all security.
Oh yeah... even with security set to nothing, a warning box will pop up when you try to activate an offensive module when another player is in range. This dialogue box will ask if you really want to do this and say something about consequences. You have to press "OK" on that too.

So your method of combating NPC jams... was to fit an ECM burst module in highsec?

Ok, i did not get any warning and prompt to turn of the model when he warped on top of me, and this module was already on my ship from 4 years ago and i never once had a problem when people would warp on top of me this time it flaged me as a pirate... whats the point of highsec if you cant PvE without greifers warping on top of you and suiciding or getting you flagged. |

IIRC AoE weapons cannot be turned on at all in highsec unless the safety is red, otherwise it could be used as an intel tool.
The solution is to simply fit moar ECCM (or sensor boosters, has that change happened yet? I been out of the loop a bit) or to fly something with bastion mode and dealwithit glasses fitted :D

I saw some new sensor booster scripts but didn't dig into it - I think that change is indeed live. |
