I have an idea, and alot of players have thought it was a good one.
I would like the ability to sacrifice skills I have trained (Mining, Gunnery, etc.) To be able to get half those skill points (Or whatever number your mathmatical gods think is fair) back and place them in other skills. I think this will help alot of players that started out, and ended up going in a million different directions before they figured out what they wanted to do in the game.
I don't think this will in any way harm game balance, and will do nothing but make the player base happy. I mean seriously, I have mining 5.....do you know how often I mine? NEVER. Am I wrong here? Do the DEVs see something I don't? I'd appreciate hearing your opinion on the subject.

Respecializing is worthwhile in games where your specialization hinders your development in other areas. That cannot happen in EvE, and there's no reason to allow this sort of respeccing. If anything, allow attribute points to be respecced at a rate of one point transferred per month, so some of us can get rid of that pesky 14 charisma.
Even that's really unnecessary.

yea it would be nice if you could just take things back. Why bring something illogical to the game, how can you unlearn in hopes to help you learn something else.

Good idea !
Add Skill menager in game will be nice and add some abilites for create Skill Data bank for possible selling baying some Skill point, also make posible redevide Abilites point. Whih good realisation its will be away alot of IKS from the game :)

This is a FANTASTIC IDEA!
After all, I can learn all my trade skills and everything else that I need with the Charisma skills, then I can RESPEC those Charisma skills into Perception and willpower and become a guntoter in a matter of months!

Good idea but needs some changes:
1. SPs redistribution can be done only ONCE in character's life. Just in case of incorrect character training (Why the hell I, Minmatar, was training Amarr frigates at early character's stage????).
2. SPs redistribution can be done ONLY by clone exchanging. Yes, it means - you lost all your implants.

Clone exchange wouldn't work...you'd just have people setting up a zero implant jump clone.
It's an unnecessary idea anyway. EVE is a game where you live with your decisions. Believe me, there are skills I'd love to get rid of in exchange for something else - but that's not how EVE works.
Introduce this, and the next thing they'll be asking for is a "save game" button

learned is learned and you cant forget anything and know anything ohter instead

well, depending on the person, im called stoney and i forget pretty much of whats happening in real life haha
so things can be forgot.. ;)
i like the idea,, i trained up a few skills to 4 or 5 and never used it in my eve time,,
