Hi, I'm not able to play Eve much, so I've been looking for a way to get money without a large time commitment. To my understanding, mining stations mine 24/7 as long as they have power. So, do they make enough money to be worthwhile? Is there a comprehensive guide on this sort of thing? And if not, are there any things I must know before I start (do all moons have minerals? Can I sell them right after mining? etc.)?
Could they potentially replace mining for me?

there are 4 differnt classes of moon materals
Common – Atmospheric Gases, Evaporate Deposits, Hydrocarbons and
Silicates
Rarity 8 – Cobalt, Scandium, Titanium and Tungsten
Rarity 16 – Cadmium, Chromium, Platinum and Vanadium
Rarity 32 – Caesium, Hafnium, Mercury and Technetium
the rarity 32 ones harvesting from a small control tower will make you roughley 30m a month in raw empire sell prices minus the cost of pos fuel, you'd have to do a hauler run once a week to take the stuff down and get pos fuels up.
The tricky part is finding a moon that hasent allready been covered, infact you could well search for an entire weekend and not find an uncovered rareity 32 if your looking in lowsec, you'd have more luck in 0.0 for sure but then of course you'd probaley have to pay rent unless you decided to risk a covert pos and hope no-one finds it and considers it a threat.
if you can find several good moons to mine close together and put up several small towers and run reactions the ~30m figure can rise dramaticley - IF you can find a buyer or reguler buy orders.

They are definately worth it... provided you can use the minerals for T2 production and are one of those that can get a (non-poofing) T2 BPO.
That said, you can make much more in a covetor/hulk in a week than you can in a month of moon-mining alone.

neobandium or some similar spelling rarity 64 * worth quite a bit* rare as bones tho i know of 3 moons tho
