I know a curse is probably a more prominant PvP vessel, but i hope to soon be moving into a new alliance, which resides in Sansha Space. So, for the first week or so i can only move my curse down there. Any ideas for a Ratting setup ?.
I was thinking, Heavy missiles for the highs, shield tank for the meds, and maybe some PDU's and BCU's in the lows.
Thanks in advance Its Great Bieng iNsAn3, Isnt it?Ö |

Why would you shield tank it against sanshas?

It doesn't do enough damage to make it worth while, and the tank would be absolutely horrible.. Sell it and buy a geddon/domi/typhoon if you want to npc. ________________________________

IF you wanna NPC sanshas get a zealot - with ok skills its easily better than most Bs (Except maybe a max skilled raven) and any other HAC.
Heavy Pulse II's, 3x HS II etc etc

Sigh, he did not ask for other ships to use, he quite clearly asked for a Curse setup...
You should go with the following.
3 Heavy Missile Launchers, 2 Med Nos
1 10mn AB2, 2 x Photon Scattering Field 2's, 1 x Heat Dissipation Field 2, 1 x Large Shield Booster 2, 1 Cap Recharger 2.
2 PDU 2's, 2 BCU 2's
2 Ogre 2's, 2 Hammerhead 2's, 1 Hobgoblin 2.
And Thunderbolt missiles.
Key to stay in fast orbit around the BS's, as you will not be able to sustain the tank for that long.
I have no idea if it would fit, but that is what i would work with, or similar.

His point, for the people who missed it. I think he is quite aware that the curse is not optimal there and I think we can savely assume that he wants it only as temporarily ratting ship.
Personally I would use:
3-4 heavy missile launchers, 1-2 nos 1 MWD, 4-5 tracking disruptors, 0-1 large shield booster, 1 LSE2 2 nano2, 2 LH instab
2 ogre, 2 hammers, 1 hob
Battleships cannot hit you at all. Support, can, though, but will pop fast.
/edit: Ah, wait, disregard that, I forgot that shansha use missiles, too. Anominity's setup is better there.

well shield tanked heavy missile curse works very well. i used it for ratting guristas for a while but sanshas are probably the worst to do it with. if u can afford it then fork out for a gist a type small shield booster. they have come down to about 80mil now and u can easily get it to run permanently even without any nos, so maybe try duel em and therm hardeners, the shield booster and an ab or extender then some bcu's and pdu's in lows maybe, heavies in highs. should still work i imagine but not nearly as well as other npc's

Tried it for Guristas ratting and i have learned some lessons. 1 - Recons 3 is minimal, Recons 4 is best - has to do with the range of you're nos. 2 - You need both Cap skills at level 5 3 - Better armor tank it with 2x MAR II. 4 - DPS without drone int 5 is crappy for BS's over 1.25 mil, and takes longer than an Ishkur with blasters - about 50% more. 5 - 1-2 E50 nos's is pretty much enough to run a dual MAR II setup with 5x 17.25% cap rechargers in the mids and AB - and also to run the AB. If you have both cap skills at level 5, i would go for 1x E50, 1x T2 cloak, 3x XT-2800 launchers with EMP ammo. Don't use 2x heavy + 2x med + 1x light setup as you have no spares and if the drones do grab agro the heavy's will take forever to return. Losing most of you're DPS at many jumps from a base just sucks. If you live in an area free of hostiles, or you have a POS nearby, don't fit a cloak and fit a 2nd nos instead. With guristas and Recons 4, you have about 6 min before you completely drain a NPC BS, so be prepared to have another nearby and use that for cap. If you have 2 nos's instead of 1 fitted, better nos the frigs or cruisers first, those will die first anyway as they deal the most damage to you. --------------------------------------------------

The Ultimate High Skill Solo PvE/Ratting Curse:
Highs: 4x Heavy missile launcher II, 1x Salvager
Mids: 1xAB/MWD I or II, 1x Invul II, 4x LSE II or drop a LSE II for an EM II vs EM based rats
Lows: 4x PDS II
Rigs: 2x Field Purger or 1x Field Purger 1x Field Extender
Head: 1x 3/5% Shield regen 1x 3/5% Shield HP 1x 3/5% Launcher CPU decrease
Skills: All the skills that effect the mods and weapons on this setup need to be at 4 minimum. Topping off the low rank level 5s is highly recomended and essential for DPS, tanking and actually getting everything to fit.
Add ammo and drones that do the best damage to the npc type your killing and go forth and make Billions..
