This is what you needing:: * Refining 5 * Refinery Efficiency 5 * Slot 8: Hardwiring - Zainou 'Beancounter' H50 (2% refining) Then you can refine/reprocess ANYTHING without waste at a 50% station where you have 6.68 standing.
You can train scrapmetals reprocessing skill and then won't need 2% hardwires (not sure if still need standing) but this is another ~10 days training for metallurgy 5.
I haven't loot/salvage mission for a very long time but I think it probably isn't worth train up those skill unless you farm drones (in mission or drone region). Of course if you are cross train for hulk and crystal then go ahead refine etc since you need it anyway. |

I don't think I explained it wel;l enough but thanks for the reply, I don't want to know what would be the max skills, but want to know at what lvl itis more isk refining basic items rather than quick sell |

that depends on the item, some items are junk and can just go to the scrap heap of refining it and build up an ore base, and some things are worth alot and can be sold for 20x more than what the mineral prices of it are. |

You really want the skills listed above, plus something like EveRefinery which gathers prices from Eve-Central and tells you what to sell and what to melt.
Enter your API, update market prices, ???, profit. |

It takes time to learn what items are worth selling, and what should be reprocessed. As a general rule of thumb, you want to keep items of the highest meta-level of that specific item type. For example, for armor plates, Reinforced Rolled Tungsten is what you would keep to sell, and any others you might want to reprocess.
Certain items will sell for a good amount even though they're not the highest meta-level.
Items I keep an eye out for:
Any named Heavy Missile Launchers 1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor ECMs with 3.6 jam strength for their specific sensor type Microcell, N-Type, Radioisotope, and Voltaic armor resists. 'Scout' or Prototype large guns
Again, it's something you get used to over time. Check market prices for various items, and figure out what's worth the effort.

Typically I would sort my loot based on meta level, set everything aside that's 3-4, and refine the 0-2 stuff. Then I would check the prices on the 3-4 stuff while taking a quick look at the minerals you would get from it and make a gut decision on refine/sell.
If you can be bothered to get the refining app working, that would give you the best information regarding your specific situation. |

I have Refining V and Refinery Efficiency III. With high standings, there's very little waste, and these skills take less than a week. Definitely worth it IMO. I use a golem and loot everything (I'm willing to leave some salvage if I'm ready to warp on/out). Loot makes up a large part of my income.
As said above, you'll learn over time what to keep and what to sell. Sort items by meta level; most meta 4, some meta 3, and a select few meta 2 and 1 are worth selling, along with some of the more popular ammos. Reprocess everything else. |

Throw half the modules out the nearest airlock and you'd still be better off refining the rest than trying to sell most meta 0-3.
A lot of buy orders are for less than half the mineral value - sometimes a lot less. There's good money to be made if you can be bothered setting up lots of buy orders and collecting all the modules. |

Pretty much this. Only difference I do is just outright sell all the meta lv 3 and 4 items. Takes less time which allows you to get back out there and collect up more stuff.
