Just jettison a can at warp in and orbit it at 9km with AB running. Use the tracking speed script to have even less problems to hit smal drones. As this fit is quite tight, you maybe need to change one rig into a Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I to keep is stable. And in case of CPU- problems, check to downgrade the AB or Drone Link.

This works nice as well, while orbiting with AB running.
Anyway, kill the scram-frigs (drones) first, as transversal tanking is more vital for this fit as for the Ishtar.
I used the VNI for Hordes without problems and will go for the Ishtar now.

I've come to the conclusion that anytime anyone asks for the best anomaly ratting ship, the general answer is "Rattlesnake". Sure other ships are good, some are even better in specific circumstances (like a Vindicator in Serp and guristas F.hubs and rock havens).
But you can use the Rattlesnake anywhere, any anomaly, any race of rat, against any EWAR, and it can solo all the escalations/DED complexes except Blood Raider Naval Shipyard.
You can make it passive for Blood Raider Space and ignore the neuting NPCs, the tracking disupts of the Sansha are meaningless to it because it uses missiles and drones, the Serp Damps and Guristas ECM don't matter because you can just use FoF missiles with your drones, and you can omni tank it for Rogue Drones and Angels.
Thanks to the versatility of drones if can kill anything, and even though it's missiles are locked into kinetic and termal bonuses, there isn't a rat in the game that isn't at least somewhat vulnerable to one of the two. And you can use it at any range. On top of all that, it's on of the few ships that can rat with a pvp fit almost as good as it can with a pure pve fit, meaning you can stand and fight sometimes if you choose.
TL;DR that sucker is pure awesome for any anomaly in the game. Even though I prefer machariels and tengus for things, there is no denying it, the 'Snake is King. |

I currently live in the drone lands and use a Rattlesnake myself.
I currently hit within the range of 35-40m per tick within the Hordes (max tick is 41.5m so far). I have 1500dps on paper and clear Hordes in just under 14minutes. (No Implants)

My favorite are the True Sansha ships but any will do fine. When the Confessor came out I ran some Hordes with mine, was a peace of cake.
Maybe you want a cruiser like the Zealot or legion. Lasers are the best weapons against Rogue Drones bar none.

I prefer a Barghest with EM Auto targeting cruise missiles and a MJD. Even do 10/10s in them no problem. |
