Greetings Test enthusiasts!
We are planning a mass test for the new and updated Capitals & Fighters gameplay on Singularity on Tuesday, April 5th, at 17:00 UTC (= EVE time)!
What exactly is being tested?
- Fighter Code (Verifying stability and checking bug fixes)
- Server Performance (Relating to Fighters and AoE Doomsdays)
IMPORTANT: Functionality, numbers, art, all these things are still in the late stages of development and may be adjusted before release.
What ship should I bring?
Primary required ship classes: Carriers and Supercarriers with as many different fighter types as possible.
Secondary ship requirement: Subcaps fitted with Smartbombs
Also welcome in small numbers: Titans fitted with doomsdays
How to connect to Singularity for this test:
Change the server from Tranquility to Singularity in the upper left corner of the new launcher and log in as normal.
Test steps: (subject to change)
- Be docked in one of the stations in FD-MLJ
- Undock and align to X-BV98 gate
- Jump to X-BV98
- Launch and scoop fighter squadrons as many times as possible (for around 5 minutes to test server stability)
- Fleet X: Align and jump to Poitot and setup gate camp
- Fleet W: Jump in to Poitot
- Commence fleet fight with fighters and subcaps (Use fighters wherever possible, NO DOOMSDAYS)
- Continue fleet fighting, including Doomsday usage when specified.
What else should I know?
- Use the command /moveme to be moved to the start system FD-MLJ
- Not as specified above If you can't bring a fighter capable carrier, smartbombing subcaps are also welcome.
- 2M Skill points will be awarded on Singularity for this mass test
- No AoE doomsday weapons should be used until specifically requested. We will mercilessly blow you up if we see you doing it

Hopefully the fighter skill bonus issues (EBR-75246) are fixed by that time, or it will be very hard to get a proper sense of how things work. |

Look HERE.
There's a button where that little diamond is.
You can toggle it or move it somewhere else.

Hey, i was a little bit late but not that much, i didnt got into a fleet but had a fight rook vs a Aoen (The Aoen won by the way :P) i hope my aperence will be recognized. |

Most items (like skillbooks and fighters - 3 types: Heavy, Light and Support, are sold outside Jita and Amarr trade hubs for 100.00 ISK each).
You cannot jump there with a Wyvern or a SuperCarrier.

There are so many systems that can be accessed by typing /moveme into any chat window. Another window will open giving you a choice of 10-12 systems. You "can" go to Jita, Amarr and many others (even in a Titan) using this command.
CCP feeds us well...

I have never used the test server and am wondering if i do not have the ability to pilot a capital can i do so on the test server.
I would be keen to assist in any way I can in regards to BETA testing.

CCP has been handing out Skill Injectors via the redeem system on the test server. They should be plenty to fly citadels, carriers, dreads, FAXes, and fighters, at least to level 4. Depending on your current skills you might or might not be able to fly supers and titans. |

I got 3 sets of 8 injectors each.
I could have traded them to the same account but (maybe i will), I got up to a SuperCarrier with all 3 Figthers types (light, heavy and support, each level 1) from 20m SP to 23m SP or 26m SP.
I used around 16 or 14 injectors for that.
They were 400,000 SP each, which is about 8 days worth of training (or skill learning) without implants.
I think it works at the same rate with or without implants, although I may be wrong.
SP are not affected by implants, as I think that implants makes SP be learned faster, it doesn't really give more SP in and of itself.
So, I managed to load the fighters using a Mobile Depot (2 in fact, since the only work: Use for self, not fleet use)
and they should be ready for test now.
I just bought the fighters one jump away, and flown back from a safe point in a rookie ship (to the SuperC).
I got screenshots too, and my video recording tool is also working with my mic, although I need a new mic...
However, that mic generates too much echo, which could not be brought back to a normal level yet.
