Rubbish, I tested the Speach SDK myself, it's one of the most accurate and reliable speach recognition packages i've ever seen, you just have to train it and know what commands to use.
For all we know he hadn't trained it, was using a poor quality microphone and had it set to max speed instead of high accuracy, this video isn't fair and is just being used as ammo in the "vista sucks" war.

tbh that speech recognition engine does a MUCH better job that anything comparable on XP.
And its still crap

It's a big step forward but it still needs some work. It's just a funny vid showing how far off seamless speech recognition is in general, not a direct knock at Vista (though I do think it's a crap OS).

I'm not terribly certain he was trying his hardest, though. He was definitely playing up to the camera and making it more difficult for himself.

Wait, you expect a run of the mill speech recognition app to be able to spit out a computer language? What's next? Expect to play Fnr Elise on a walk-on keyboard?
