Edited by: Draem on 15/02/2007 16:43:05 Armageddon shouldn't be used against NPCs, in my opinion. I use an Abaddon, and love it. Though it would be very nice for it's roll in all engagements: support.
The Geddon cannot tank

The main problem with the Armageddon cap use. If you have the ISK for a faction tank it can do L4's faster and safer than any other Amarr ship. Of course that is still 3 times slower than a faction tanked Raven but hey.

Can't tank?
7x Dual Modulated Heavy Energy Beam I 3x Cap Recharger II 2x LARII, 3x 55% hardener, 2x Beta CPR
Crap DPS, but it tanks a ton of damage just fine forever. Of course if you want to do crap damage but tank forever, you may as well use an Apoc. A more balanced setup would drop one LAR and CPR for a heatsink and 4th hardener, though depending on your SP (i.e. how fast you can drop enough ships to stabilize your tank) you may have some tight spots or warp outs on some missions.
If you can afford it, a rigged Abaddon is much much better.
8x Mega Modulated Energy Beam I 4x Cap Recharger II LAR II, 4x hardener or DCU and 3x hardener, 2x Heatsink II 3x CCC rigs
That runs indefinitely and does a ton more damage with better resists, the only mission I warp out on is when the second wave of Stop the Thief spawns to come back at 100.

Hah, that's almost my exact setup. I trade out one of the Cap Recharger II's for a Tracking CPU II. For lows I use 1 LAR II, 1 MAR II, 3x T2 hardeners, 1x Heatsink II, 1 1600 RTP.

That doesn't even fit (unless you're using PG rigs you're short 131PG with AWU V), nor does it run indefinitely, and why would you put a plate on a PvE setup to begin with? o.O

8 Mega Pulse (tech 2 fits) 1 domi AB, 3 t2 cap rechargers X-Type LAR, faction EANM, 2 t2 hardeners, cap relay, 2 heatsinks II 2 repair amount rigs, 1 cap recharge rigs
Stops the thieves right in their tracks.

You have to run modulated, tech 2 uses too much cap. ---------------------------------------- Thou Shalt "Pew Pew" |

Edited by: Mastin Dragonfly on 16/02/2007 07:25:38 Edited by: Mastin Dragonfly on 16/02/2007 07:24:27 I am running modulated, but I also didn't claim it was fully sustainable. I can kill stuff quickly enough to not have to run everything full time. If it worries you, just replace a heatsink with another cap relay.
I had it setup to be sustainable at first, but noticed I rarely had to use the LAR for long period of times, so tried it this way to see how it worked. Keep in mind that the X-Type + rigs repairs over 1600 per cycle, that's more than 2 tech2 LARs.
