Raul Khan Minmatar Raul Khan Venu	Posted - 2007.02.15 19:46:00 - [1] Last night I had the pleasure of fighting next many members of rzr, d2, mm and friends on a mission to save a pos under seige. Around 50 of us, mostly bs's, and ready for a fight... so I thought. We started the night by listening to "intel" being x-ferred in from system 9c-whatever. We were optimistic, well, at least I was. We heard report after report of the "foolish" bobit forces and their fleet of "10" (I swear this was the truth) ravens sitting outside the pos, no mention of the other 90 pilots in the system. Reports came of which gate to jump into and which gates were locked down by enemy forces, finally, after minutes of consideration, a decision was made, and we all jumped in at the same time. Up to this point, the only intel given to the "pawns" of this operation was that there was a gang of 10 ravens jumping about, 3-4 capital ships at the POS, and a "hunch" that there was a cloaked titan. Over the night I heard short comments about how this was going to be a suicide run, no chance to ward off the capital fleet, but enough of us to cause some mayhem in the bob forces. Seconds after jumping I was in utter shock. Four, five bubbles I counted(?) with many dozen sniping battleships and many more support ships swarmed onto us instantly, an order was given and every friendly ship uncloaked from hiding. Instantly I hit my MWD, and armor mods and tried to get the hell out of there, for a few seconds I thought I was going to make it. Then suddenly it came. Short damage messages on my screen front, telling me I was being assaulted by the BOB forces, I zoomed out on my screen to see that I had left one bubble, only to fly straight into another. Voices from TS shouting "head to x-x, align! warp!"... I was heading to x-x, and it was the biggest dam trap I had ever seen. 25% left of my armor and I was starting to think I would make it. Pilots wizzed past me and my screen shook of missle fire. Finally I shot past the brink of the last bubble, my finger jamming as it hit my mouse button. Entering the POS I could only think of what a disaster this was. I was only there for another 30 minutes, listening to TS and watching the Titan looming over us. We managed to get it to misfire the DD but nothing more. My friends, I will never fly with such a Fleet Commander again. That was the worst intel and one of the best traps I've seen in a long time. Even though I made it out alive many of my brothers did not. And please, refrain from the "he's an alt" flames, I'm not willing to risk my expulsion from my alliance to have the satisfaction of posting with my "main". I'm sure the legitamacy of this report will be confirmed by some BoB folks- I'm sure. Goodnight, and I'll see you tommorow. Raul

And for the info, all killboards checked, no losses on d2,mm,rzr, kb from any suicidal action so this is just pure forum propaganda. hope u all die fast

Because the losses were spread over many corps it won't look so bad. However, you can get an idea by looking at Pure losses. AFAIK there were zero Bob ships in the actual fight.

They are talking about the same fight, which involved a Coalition POS(RZR) coming out of reinforced. The FIX lead home team secured the system and ended up taking the POS out, although I hear more may have been put up to replace it. There was one significant fight at the UYU gate and the mostly Pure force did get hit hard. Props for jumping into us though, that took some balls

In contrast i was there as well and had heaps of fine. sure im one of the few that survived but hey, our FC bumped the titan with a nanophoon! yarr Our small fleet was made smaller by half as soon as we jumped in as any BS without a mwd was dead before he uncloaked, but a few managed to get away. one thing i will say is we knew from the outset that they had a titan, even which titan it was, and were all preparing to die. if you didnt hear this or ignored it, your fault. many of us went in expecting to die, which made it all the sweeter when we didnt. And we did more than make the DD missfire (well it took out 2 BS that were outside pos shields) we managed to gang back up and go out and harass enemy forces, to a degree. We also watched as like lemmings the enemy support managed to warp into their own bubbles and promptly get decimated by our snipers 200km off. We lost a lot more than we killed but it was still fun, we got to see a titan and shoot things. good fight to all involved -Z

I think he is talking about the first engagement in the Euro time zone when the RZR POS was under siege. Whatever point you were trying to make about last nights skirmish with this thread is null and void seeing as everything you've said is an utter lie. I think he is talking about the first Engagement when the RZR POS was under siege in which case you guys were out numbered 2:1 and didn't have carrier support. Don't quote me on it though. ----------

So anyone willing to check a chatlog really knows quite exactly who the OP is PUREly optimistically speaking, I wouldn't be surprised if that's the truth and the person in the OP really didn't keep up with a word of what was happening. The reality is however, everybody else was well aware of what was going to happen and you weren't roped or coerced into this but asked yourself to join as we were passing through 3-F. Which is cool, you're welcome and all - but do pay a bit of attention. On a more cheery note, big hats off to Triumvirate for coming along at the last minute. You dudes were impressive and in good spirits for an amazingly hopeless undertaking that started about an hour late. There were mechanical things that could have gone better (in-system sniper timing, revert to gang to remove the uncloak lag) but at the end of the day it was about 65% less bad than it should have and we did kill a few things although outnumbered badly. And wipe out a group on their way back to ED- entirely ;)

They used factual events and spun them in a negative way full of innuendo and acting as "concerned citizens". Any real pilot that is not a complete n00b (read: idiot) knows to discuss perceived FC failures only in corp/alliance forums or just suck it up and take better care next time. V.
