i tried putting a small cargo container in space, but found no way to get it back, in addition, i am wondering if there is a way to "tractor" the cargo container, so that u dun have to have it inside the cargo bay, thus jus drag it with u through warp space...
thx!

If you right click on it, one of the options that pops up is "scoop to cargo hold". That's the one you want.
You can't tractor the container around with you, though. What most people do who mine is to move containers to the mining site with an indy, go get their mining ship, mine until the containers are full, then go pick them back up with the indy.
If you're in a mining corporation, of course, some people can be moving the cans with indys while others are filling them...

Be aware that if you are not using secure containers, (which can be purchased from the market) that there is nothing stopping people helping themselves to your hard earned ore. If this is right or wrong is for another discussion :-)
Cya and good luck!

Yeps, I should have mentioned that as well. Plus, you'll need to anchor the containers (uses "anchoring" skill) if you want to leave them around for a long time.

Can you blow up other peoples secure cargo containers? Do you get loot after that?
(I'd figure yes, but haven't tried yet, might try if I ever make a pirate char) SigPl/HQ&Log Coy/MNB(C)/KFOR |

Its possible to blow up a secure container with a battleship. But it takes several hours and you donŠt get loot from the container. So donŠt waste your time and ammo.
