Returning to Eve; Unable to patch

Miner Cord	Posted - 2003.12.15 02:41:00 - [1] I decided to come back to Eve and upon getting my account reinstated and installing the CD, I find I can't patch. There's an I INFORMATION box that comes up and says: "There was an unexpected error while retrieving patch status The patchsystem was not able to locate a patch file for the current version. Please try again." Well, I tried again, and again and again, to no avail. At the moment I'm downloading the 28 megabyte manual patch from box to current 1254 build on a Dial-Up modem. I'm not happy. I've been reading where Eve is expanding it's market and expects to draw in more players. I hope they fix the auto patch system by then. When I finish the patch download, can anyone tell me exactly where (what folder in Eve) do I install the exe patch file? I'd appreciate any info / instructions as to where the exe file is extracted to. Hope to be in space with you all again real soon.

Exec	Posted - 2003.12.15 02:57:00 - [9] As far as installing goes.. just double click on the EXE wherever it is on your HD and it should automaticly patch. ---------------------------------------------- Quick Polarise the hull plating!! Doh! Guess my nissan micra doesnt come with that feature ;) Exec Unpas's local idiot

Hellmar	Posted - 2003.12.15 03:01:00 - [13] Sorry about you being hit by this Miner Cord When you start up the EVE client you should see the client version on your login window. Match that to a a patch in this list and click on it. Run the patch once it's downloaded and you should patch correctly up.

The problem you are facing is because the servers are down for the expansion release. And the patch containing the expansion and update to the client havent be made available to the public yet.
