okay maybe this is old news, but it needs to be brought up again.
these regions are a joke. busted roids(100units per on average) busted exploration content(empty sights, weak/non-existant complexes) no plexes no officer/hauler spawns and now, with the market how it is, sub-par ratting.
please, do something about this CCP. at least fix the roids so we can sustain ourselves up here. everyone I have talked to who has make this area their home is just hanging on while corp/alliance #s drop hoping CCP will make these areas worthwhile.

forgot to mention the 3.5km/s MWD drones that fly off when you get to a belt
WTF is that about????
anyways, I think I am just gonna jump ship and get out, its a pity but this space is worthless.

Thats when they spawn inside a roid. It happens to BS-size ones also.

I saw one BS sized rat run off at 10,000 m/s until it fell off the grid.

actually they dont take off until you reach the spawn, and it is ONLY BS I have seen do it. I have seen them do it when they are not in a roid field but beside one too so it is something else. not saying the roid spawn reason isnt true, but there is definately something else going on as well.

I've been having some strangeness too--- I warped to a can in a SS and drones spawned 200km away and flew off-- they were at 1000km before I knew it and then disappeared at about 1400. It was just strange.
Also- A note about those drones flying away. If you kill the small ones and wait a few, 2/3 will usually fly back to you. They start firing at 100k and miss until they are at about 20 (gheyness.)
I agree as well about these regions. It's like they made them, deleted everything good, then stuck it in the game. I'd already assumed they were waiting on us to build the infrastructure out there, but this just isn't even funny.

It is currently almost impossible to build up infrastructure without huge supply lines to empire being created. But even then, the only advantage I can see for the new space is its actual position on the map.
I'd really love to know what they are going to do about mining out there, you just cant produce anything without shipping low ends from empire, and a freighter doesn't carry *that* much when you're at war and need new ships all the time..
And no bounties on drones I can allllmost understand, but no sec status boost? What's the point in ratting out there?
Have CCP mentioned anything about it? It seems to have been forgotten a bit :S

I am also waiting for clarification, it is beyond my comprehension that there is no official answer from CCP as to the status of these systems...... |

I want an answer to this: The BS drones were dropping 5-10mil of alloys each, which in turn completly destroyed the high-end mineral market, making mining in 0.0 barely more profitable than mining in Empire. (and only if you mine Crokite/Bistot)
It used to be a can of Crokite was worth 20mil, now it's not even worth 10mil.
This new region has completely fubared the game. Instead of alloys, make drones drop salvage components and low-end minerals. Why the heck would drones have morphite anyway?

well, maybe if enough people continue to remark about it they will do something.
personally I think I've had enough. unfortunately for my alliance and their allies, the investment in the region is more than can be walked away from.
I truly hope CCP takes this matter seriously and does something about it.

How about drop a few NPC stations and/or a few conquerable ones? I know they've taken at least one station out of the area, why not put it back in with a few others?
How about some complexes?
Something, anything!

Bump because the ridiculously small amounts of ore inside the rocks makes way way too difficult to sustain manufacutring of fleets with something bigger than cruisers.

I am not a miner through and through, but i have players in my corp, eager to start munching rocks in our new home, only to find we could eat through belts in minuites. I definatly agree that some fix needs to be applied here.

Aye true nobody cares if your new homeisnt what you thought it might be. Ever considered the Devs wanted it this way? Maybe thats why this space has been left unexpored by jumanity for so long, cos it was crap.....

I don't understand where the confusion is.
I think you'll find that its 'working as intended'. Yes, the regions are poor quality in terms of mining, complexes and ratting, but they are miles and miles away from BoB space, so why should the devs care?

/signed aswell. I'd love to be able to mine/rat/live here. Found a hidden belt with nice crokite stones once, containing 100 units a piece . What a joke. CCP give the new regions some love before we wither and die here! |
