Yea, after reading 20 pages of the Battle of the Node in Jv1V, I have come to a conclussion that approximately 15% of the posts are illegitimate.
Don't flame me - I know the moderators are doing their best on snipping with the above message.
However, wouldn't it be easy for the developers to put some minor code into the forums?
Say:
if ( posters.corp = 'false'
and posters.alliance = 'false
)
{
poster.bancounter = true
poster.banlength = '1 week'
allowpost.no = 'true'
poster.message = 'you attempted to post without either your corp or alliance ticker on'
send poster message
do not allow post to go in
}
Well, it's sort of pseudo code.
But anyway, wouldn't this stop a lot of headaches for the forum moderators? And also stop a lot of bandwith and invalid posts from going into the COAD channel?

Its easy to code, but what if it breaks something... why spend time & effort on something to just moderate one forum area, volenteers have to keep eye on anyway, people will just create corps with new characters which can be made right off to make a corp. to bypass this..
what should be done is stricter rules, of gm's looking at posts , finding out if their alts, and temp banning whole accounts from posting anymore. alt posts are lame.

CCP should just display the corp and alliance for everyone who posts in this forum.
