I am not sure if this is known or not, so here is my Observation. Being limited to one/mission a day I try to make sure I get the most out of the ones I do, so Gurista EA I do all 6 rooms, WC - I go both paths.
First time through WC, I had set up for Therm primary so chose the Serpentis route, killed the Angel Spy, cleared out the last room, re-entered and engaged the Gurista path. Overseer BS there worth 4.9M in bounty. My biggest bounty to date and quite exiting.
Last night I had equal tanking Kin/Therm, so I decided to try the Gurista first, shot the Gurista spy, grumbled at no Overseer there, cleared Heron and jumped to the Serpentis side. Sadly, the overseer on Serpentis side was only 543k. So, my suggestion is, take out the serpentis side first, THEN do the Gurista for the nice Overseer kill!
I still prefer Gurista EA for just the sheer enjoyment of not using my Ferox doing it any more, but the WC is rapidly becoming a mission I am very fond of!
Safe flying to you all!

That Guristas Overseer spawn was most probably good luck and has nothing to do with the sequence in which you engage the enemies.

Aside from the 4.9 bounty, what exactly does the overseer drop anyway? if it dosnt drop any good loot its not really worth doing an extra stage imo, anyone? -------------------------------------------------- Yes I'm a forum alt, what you going to do about it? |

So far have not had anything drop from either Overseer. Alt with barge cleaned up every kill, prob would've been some slavage but could not be arsed to swap alt to Cormorant for that.

Well, the mission notes and forum suggest that shooting the Spy DOES trigger the Overseer spawn, I'll fly through both sides without engaging anything next time to verify but those are my suspicions atm.

i always kill everything when i do WC4 a few days ago neither of the overseers had spawned when the 6 hours for the mission bonus was up so i decided to wait it out and fly back now and again to check after about 8 hours the serpentis overseer spawned(low bounty) after 17 hours(downtime) the gurista overseer had still not spawned and since i did kill everything im assuming there are no triggers u need to kill for them to spawn sounds random to me

Unless it changed in Revelations, the time of the overseer spawn is totally random. Back when you could still scan for NPCs, I farmed them for a bit and had pretty much any appearance time between right away and not at all till next DT... --------- There is no 'n' in turret There is no 'r' in faction There is no 'a' in Kestrel
