Here's on for all you old turn based war gamer types.
I was doing some sorting out today and came across my dusty old copy of Steel Panthers World at War. So more out of interest I put it on my new computer to see if it would still play, and yes it did.
This being a real old favorite of mine, I next went on-line to see if there were a new patch for it. I didn't find any patch but discovered not one, but two new versions of this old game.
WinSPWW2 More or less the old game I know and love covering 1930 to 1946
winSPMBT covering 1946 to 2020
I've got both versions and they more then play well. Only critisism is that on the new bigger monitors the graphics do look a little 'soft', Though you can play both games in a window to sharpen them up a lot, though I personally find the fixed windows a little too small for my liking.
But other then that, it's still a bloody good game that will be on my HD for a long time.

Just remember, and this is aimed at anybody not familier with the SP series, the core game is over 12 years old, it's very much an old fashioned hex/turn based game. So don't be expecting fancy graphics and 'oh my gosh' effects. But do enjoy a very detailed and indepth wargame.
Oh! And did I mention, both versions are free.
Now back to repelling those pesky North Koreans from the Pusen line!
