Found it in the stuff files on the chaos build, not sure if it's in the tranquility build aswell. I know it's a Caldari frigate, and I think i've seen it on some old wallpaper I can't find anymore.
It's a nice looking ship IMO (it looks "big" unlike the current frigates which look more like fighters), it should be used for something.

... I dunno what it is but i want it already ;.;
It seems sorta like Merlin, except 'tis a Merlin that actually looks cool... even cooler than Kestrel o.o
Maybe one of these advanced frigates that are coming?

Now that you mention it, it's probably just an older Merlin design, deemed to vertex-dense to be used as a frigate mesh.

Probably one of the elite frigates. All the elite frigates are based on existing frigates and as such use the existing frigate models with slight modifications and pallette shifts --------------------------------------------- Engineers motto; If it doesn't fit, force it. If it breaks it needed replacing anyway. |

Hmm would be strange to keep it if they weren't planning to use it in any way so am hopeful ^^;
Where exactly was that mesh located? maybe the path and folder name in the .stuff file can give some hint here...

I found it in \cf8. I noticed there was 9 Caldari frigates which is more than there is in-game, so I exported the .tri files and checked.

Valeria... even on the forums you manage to violate the rules. You're a bad girl
Would like to see the picture... is it still on chaos?

Ahh, good catch. Pretty interesting, that... there's 8 frigate files in Caldari folder...
EVE-db lists 8 Caldari frigates, too. so i guess 'tis the one:
Caldari Enforcer Ship
... the stats are really weak for level 3 frigate so they're probably just placeholders and/or the ship was scrapped. :/

This should work, XpoHoc. If not I guess i'm out of bandwidth already.
Aye, it might be the Caldari Enforcer. Those stats are probably ancient though, there was a time when all frigates were like that and all cruisers had 250 of everything, HP, powergrid etc.

Yes it works, thx. Looks really a bit like the Merlin. I thought you found it in the corp hanger on chaos, not in the data of the chaos client. |

Sweet. Well, yes, but it looks more like a ~60 meter long ship than say the current Merlin, which looks more like 60 centimeters or so, due to lack of details.

You know... it's not about the size, it's the technic
I like the Merlin design more, the engine doesn't suit that well in imo. |

Valeria, What are you using to open the .tri files with? Do they open in Maya? i.e. are they native Maya files? I tried to convert them from an Alias .tri to a .dxf but my conversion software refused to recognise them --------------------------------------------- Engineers motto; If it doesn't fit, force it. Looks like a cross between an Ibis and a Merlin. Not very attractive. Kestrel and Raven are nice looking ships, apart from that Caldari are *puke*

I had a programmer friend write me a custom viewer a while ago. Nothing fancy, it doesn't read the .blue material shaders and only supports the first material ID, but it does the trick.

Sombody at CCP wasn't amused by this - the image has been nerf'd and is no more - hehe.

Argh...j0, stop setting up traps to get me try and rotate the ship for a better view
Very cool ship tho.
