Okey some say this cant be done even when war decing the corp who owns the pos, because of a bug, however when was this bug intriduced, because i have had one of my own pos's taken down 1 week pre kali when i was at war.
So i speak from experience, but will be happy to here from anyone who knows different if you speak from direct experience also, otherwise STFU
TARGER : GRIM REAPERR
CORP : The Eternal Knights
POS LOCATION : Hibi, in the Tash Region.
Basically i would like this noob's pos dropped, i know 8 BS's can take down a Large Tower as an expample of what maybe needed.
I do not know what size tower he has or defence is any, generally speaking research POS's have very little defence if any at all.
I want major inconveniece installed upon this noob'et, please post here or mail me with prices etc, i will want to come and actually see this happen.

If its not defended 8BS can take it down... but thats 1+ hour of shooting :S

Currently Concord will intervene in Empire if you attack a POS. Even if the owner corp is wardeced by the attackers.
So to say.. no way to take out a POS in Empire

1 hour?
Minimum 8 hours against an unhardened POS. Harden it and you won't get it down between downtimes with such a small fleet.

PAK can assemble a team (yes with friends outside our corp) but considering your record we would want full payment upfront. Don't like it? then tough luck. If you do, lets talk.
EDIT: this also assumes that the tower isn't overly defended unless you are paying A LOT. If it is equivelent to most empire towers then the price will be more reasonable. Post here if interested, give me a quote so that I know if I am.

Concorde aren't supposed to intervene if there is an active war dec and you attack the pos. I'll have to look into this.
Rome0 one of my jobs is a pos takedown consultant. I can take a look at the pos and tell you what you need, what dps the pos will do at each stage, and what dps you require to send it into reinforced mode. Then it's a matter of assembling enough ships.
Snakes in a Pod (not me  ) will provide the services for free so you don't need to scam me.

I've got the chat logs from Romeos little fireup in the blueprints channel.

It's pure gold to read it from start to end.
Anyway, good luck in your war on whoever. I'd be interested to see wether or not you could pop that POS without concord getting involved, seems to be alot of different thoughts on the matter.

Ehm, who's the noob here?
Anchoring a POS in high sec requires high faction standings. I doubt a noob could anchor one.
And yes, concord will protect the POS. A high sec POS pays charters, I don't see why it should not be protected. |

Again I disagree with your opinions as a pos shouldn't be invulnerable as it's highly unbalancing. If it isn't fixed the most pimped out piracy skill set will be related to BPO copying. I'll have to change how I play.
Privateers for pos takedown would be rather amusing.

I have had a pos in high sec and been at war and the enemy in question shot at the pos with no intervention from concord, why would they? they are at war and the pos is a target of the corp/alliance just like the members in it are.
what really pi55's me off in this game are the players (NOOB)'s who claim to know facts, yet there infomation comes from a 3rd party telling them and someone telling them, its called a version of chinese whispers and once enough people are informed in this manner everyone in the chain begins to beleive its so.....
The privateers are at war with so many corps right now at the moment anyone of them could quite easy find a pos and then someone take a pot shot with a ibis to even test this once and for all so the F-ING NOOB's of this game can have a lesson 1 on 1 with game mechanics, because you bloody need it.
You can all join in the hall of fame of noobs i scam, and ccp needs to terminate all your accounts, cos your to bloody stupid to play this game.
so from this point on unless you know what your talking about STFU....
as for installing a pos in high sec any noob or muppet can do it, what do you need? some mission hore to join your corp run some mission, drop a pos at a moon and anchor it.... ooooo wowwwww brain storming that ant it.. MUPPETS

It appears that this bug is with the current patch but let us know the results here for the benefit of every unarmed high sec pos.

Try a few patches ago. My first test on this subject was in Dec-2006 and even then, it seemed to be old news to some players.

8 BS' aint gonna kill a large tower fast, in fact they aint even gonna kill it on the faster side of painfully slow.
And thats working on the premise that the POS dosent have any hardners. Even an unhardened large tower will take 8 BS easily a day if not more. And really any corp that advertises themselfs as POS poppers will use capitals not just BS'.

i think the concord bug came in with Kali. what i do know was before this bug, it was the other way around. you didn't even need to be a war, you could just shoot the POS, but in there effort to fix this they went a little to few me thinks, they are aware of this problem as i have helped to take out a low sec pos and took 3 sec hits for it but have had that standing back.
but as it stands as this moment do not shoot a POS

Also, before kali, the POS was able to shoot anyone scouting it's defenses. Now they can't. |

why don't you do it yourself romeo, and then post and tell us how well it worked?
Either that, or pay us to do it, and pay for replacement costs on all of our ships if it doesn't go right?
