insanebe Caldari soni Corp Imperium Sonorumance	Posted - 2007.02.19 21:18:00 - [1] Playstation 3 has been dogged by poor sales and production problems as well as a horde of anti playstation attacks from internet users lol ,but it seems things might be looking a little better for sony as retailers, such as amazon are reporting high presales, and that demand is high stating it is the most pre-ordered console in history, it maybe a little ironic due to the fact that its delayed launch has meant there will be over 30 launch titles; -lack of games being a main complaint at its other launches. while the wii is arguably targetted at a different market, the Xbox 360 has been recieving bad press as it was targetted by a BBC consumer watchdog program about complaints that the console broke down just after the warranty expired, also recently sony has been hinting at the possibility of movie downloads giving it some more good press (im just wandering how many days it would take me to download a movie, they are not small files after all lol) will this good news last ? only time will tell knowledge is power.... guard it well

But Final Fantasy XII came out for the Playstation 2, which means I don't need to get a PS3 to play it. Arguably the most famous RPG in the history of gaming (Chronotrigger) -- which featured 3 very talented people from the RPG community coming together to make an RPG (the story guy from Final Fantasy, the music guy from the same, and the artist from Dragon Ball Z). Now, they've apparently done it once again, and this time the game is called "Blue Dragon." Simply because of how amazed I was at Chronotrigger, my complete fanboism of it, and what it did for a genre, I would consider buying whatever console I had to in order to get Blue Dragon. Front page material on game informer, raving reviews about it in Japan, scheduled for release in the U.S. soon, and surprisingly, its for the Xbox 360. This is like Final Fantasy jumping ship. =p Simply put, Sony lost their monopoly with Take 2, and others are considering following suite, SquareEnix played their card on the PS2 instead of the PS3, the titles available for launch on the PS3 have gotten simply awful reviews -- the FPS that defined a generation of consoles was on the Xbox, not the PS2, and with both Halo Wars around the corner set to bring RTS fully to the console, Halo 3 holding ground as the FPS legacy, and Blue Dragon redefining RPG on the console market... I simply don't see room for Sony to step in and compete. The Xbox 360 has the hardcore gamers, the Wii got everyone else. Including some of the hard core gamers. A platform is made by the games it has to offer, and....well...steps off the soap box You get the picture. ***DISCLAIMER*** I do not have a a Wii, or an Xbox 360, or a PS3. At 10,000,000 Xbox360 sales, you HAVE to expect at least a VERY SMALL handful will be faulty. It is IMPOSSIBLE to make 10million consoles and have all of them work perfectly for years and years. My Xbox 360 did, however, die on me after the warranty expired. I sent a letter to Microsoft and within a week a BRAND NEW Xbox 360 landed on my doorstep.
