jumpPlanner is a .NET application for planning capital ship jump routes in EvE Online. It uses Direct3D to provide a visual representation of the galaxy and the path the capitals will be taking. Unlike other web-based systems, jumpPlanner takes advantage of your computer's power to calculate optimal routes rather than close fits and has an advanced filter system for more difficult or demanding jumps. This has been developed by myself with the help of the GoonSwarm capital pilots for the past couple of months and is finally ready for release.

Before using jumpPlanner you must download and run the DirectX setup application from here. If you don't and it doesn't work I will mock you mercilessly when you convo me and ask for help.

This is a really nice tool, only used it for a little while but I already can't imagine flying a cap ship without it. |

Needs a little more refining, and it lacks the inherent ability of a web-based tool to easily link and share your planned route with your gang, not to mention view your route in the IGB.
Region names in the tooltips for each system would be great, and a way to automaticly position the map the correct way up would be great if at all possible. I spent ages trying to manual get it the right way up... 
Pretty useful if i'm going to be moving solo though, thanks alot.

You can flatten the map but the menu to do it from is a little hidden (For some reason I couldn't have the 3D view and a standard file menu). Right click on the Goonfleet logo and choose Display settings... It will remember your settings so you don't have to do this again. You can also save a file to share with other people from this menu or copy the route to the clipboard as well as customising what is shown when you hover over the systems (including adding region name).

Well thats me happy. Cheers for the tip.
EDIT: Is it just me, or does my system get more and more laggy the longer I have the program running, until the point where its almost unusable?

- Made the panning easier to use

I'm always reticent to install windows programs for the forums, for fear of keyloggers and/or phone-home code. Any chance you'll release the source?
If I know it's not talking to the internets, then I can assume it's safe, and has the added upshot of not reporting my capital movement plans to a 3rd party website.

Is anyone still using this? Before I burned out on Eve a while back I was about half way through a fairly major update streamlining the UI and making everything a lot more user customisable as well as porting to C# to allow the community to more easily check and modify the source.
