There are bonuses that are affected by stacking nerf (guns damage, rate of fire, armor resists come to mind) that are common to Amarr. The problem with stacking nerf is that the bonuses become mostly a built-in module. (Consider this: a Geddon fits an omni-tank, two heatsinks, a plate and a cap relay, an Abaddon fits an omni-tank, two heatsinks, and a cap relay). After their bonuses get stacking nerfed, what do we get? Humm..
What if you considered keeping ship bonuses outside of being stacking nerfed? That way each ship could outdo all others within its field of speciality, which probably was the original idea of the bonuses.
Every ship can fit 2 eanm ii's, but an Abaddon would have better resists with just those two than any other ship could have with 3.
Every ship could fit 2 heatsink ii's, but a Geddon would be a true gank ship unsurpassed by any other in the Amarr arsenal.
I realize this could break things and probably would boost Gallente a lot as well, but the way things are now, Amarr really dont have much in the way of diversity and this would go a long way towards fixing that.

Bonuses stack with modules without any penalties. So yes, you should be able to get higher resists on an abaddon than on a geddon...

Hmm.. I probably need to log on Sisi to verify this and do some more research. It just seems to me that there really isnt that much of a difference between the ships.

Last I checked ship bonus does not stack the penalties (hurray  )...
Obviously with resist bonuss you will more likely just have saved a slot and gained a small advantage (no stacking, but the hardeners you put on will have less unresissted HP to cover) but that isn't bad at all.
The advantage will most likely be how you chose to use the "free" slot...

Okay, I played a bit with Quickfit. It seems the bonuses really are not stacking nerfed so I stand corrected.
