So ever since Citadel launched, my overview is holding on to stuff that's warped off and stuff that was at a station but stays on the overview after I warp off. Today it got worse. Couldn't switch tabs without stuff just staying around, can't sort by distance, etc.
Anyone else seeing this behavior? |

I don't have an answer for this other then try clearing your cache.
However, is this happening while sitting inside a citadel and looking outside, or sitting in space in your ship?
Info might help a dev or someone that see's this assuming the cache clearing doesn't help. |

It's broken ... A quick fix is to click on a different overview tab, then click on the one you actually want to use. It should work until you dock up. |

This is happening while in space in a ship. I had to double check that it wasn't a Matari ship. You never know what to expect from engineers who put the heat sinks on the outside of the ship.
Happens outside station virtually all of the time.
This last incident though was while I was salvaging The Blockade (which is a nightmare of it's own). Typically, I have stuff sorted by distance and start tractoring the stuff farthest away (80km is a long reach for tractors). But then the overview freaked out, everything got unsorted and stuff was grey or stuff that wasn't there any more stayed on the overview. In incidents outside of station, if I switch tabs between General (doesn't show wrecks) and Salvage (shows wrecks), the greyed out "phantoms" will go away. This incident in the mission complex required a restart (so yes, I did try turning it off and on again  )
If you think of other information that might be helpful, I am happy to provide it. |

If it happens again, I'll drop a bug report for it. I just didn't know if anyone else was seeing this or if it was something stupid that I did (I'm really smart but do a lot of stupid things).  |

Actually, emptying the cache may have resolved the issue for me. Testing now.

Nope, the guys warping away from station grey out and become untargetable on the overview, but they remain on the overview. So, you're right. Not fixed after clearing cache and verifying install. |

Tap CTRL. That should force refresh the overview into reflecting new and old contacts (if you are seeing a lot of greyed out "ghost" contacts and duplicated items). CTRL's lock function may be getting set into a stuck position where it does not lock and unlock properly, might be what is causing the issue. Works for me, anyways. Hope it helps.

This has been happening since wednesday. It's brought up in the official patch issues thread, the issues and workarounds forum, bug reports submitted and on reddit. Upon undocking switch overview tabs and have fun till you dock again. Why its taken this long to fix is beyond me but I assume how and why its broken must be ellusive and unexpected.

It's also the weekend, too. It's why we haven't seen a patch in the last 48 hours. People tend to forget that Devs gotta sleep some time. So do the hamsters, but that's why they would be running shifts, right?
The why is probably the easy part in fact, but getting a fix together that doesn't bork something else in the process might be what the holdup's for. Either situation really, though it's no surprise to me as the camera modes, new and old, have seemed to be rather on the finicky side when the Devs do anything with them.

Why it hasnt been fixed since friday is pretty obvious. Just suprised it wasnt done in one of the other hot fix patches since release. No big deal. Just figure it must have been hard to narrow down the cause since it didnt make it before the weekend.

I've had this issue before, just way more frequently after citadel. I have yet to try Alt and Ctrl, what works for me though is cycling auto tracking (shift+c) to get the overview back in line.
Btw my speed meter also used to get stuck sometimes and my capacitor display might vanish as well (tooltips would continue working for both though). Does anybody have a quick workaround for those? |

i have the overview artifact bug here come a list of what i did try:
Uninsntall/reinstall including total deletion of the eve cache and data eve in appdata,
Clear game client cache,
Did not work
Pressing Control or Alt is an half working i mean it work but you have to keep spamming it to have your overview refreshed and dont miss something |

I tap control and alt at the same time. Then, I wear suspenders and a belt, too.
