these forums must be linked with the main server, it's taken me over 10 minutes to be able to type a message, anyway...
i think ccp have done a clever thing here.
thousands (yes, it's peak time) thousands of people are auto-updating that patch.
The servers would melt with all those people logging in and auto-update downloads.
So when the server load has died down, i would imagine they will let people log on, and they may not open the cluster fully for some time, so that they 'stagger' the log-on
Yeah it's frustrating not being able to log-on, but remember the devs and staff at ccp will likely stay up all night tonight slaving away.
And before people start saying "well i pay for this" - it's peanuts - it's roughly the same as buying one DVD movie per month, or one night out on the town = one month sub to Eve Online |

Let's give CCP some time. Things happen with rollouts like this and I'm sure they're working very hard on it right now.
I'm excited to see how much training I'll need to do so that I can refine Veldspar with the same results as before the patch :)

Hmm guys you do realize that there are atleast 4000 people lined up, wanting too play, all dld'ing a 3mb patch thats 12gig bandwith, and you want too fit that into a 5 minute timeframe, well suprise suprise that ain't happening

No, I just want to be able to log in. I would appreciate you not resorting to swearing at people for merely voicing a little unrest.
and CCP have had 4 hours (5 hours in total today) to sort out any issues. We pay out monthly charges to play the game, a little feedback would be nice, but nothing is forthcoming.
This is a bad show CCP, no matter what this guttural gutter snipe might say.

Not to be complaining but some updates wouldn't be to much to ask.
I play this game every day, and love the world/game of Eve, and as a paying costumer I do demand a bit of value for my money.
I never whine, and this is not meant to be a such, but how hard would it be to put some updates on the front page of the eve-online.com website ?
I don't mind waiting for the patch to be implementet properly. Rather wait to play a game that works than play a game filled with problems and buggy software. But an update for the players now and then wouldn't be asking to much.
Please CCP couldn't you put out some regular posts as to how it's going with the patch, and when we should count on being able to connect..? |

Today EVE Online is being upgraded one Techlevel. Yes Techlevel 2 is hitting the world of EVE. We expect the servers to be back online, fully upgraded at 00:30 GMT. Use the time to patch to version 1.10.1352

Its very frustrating but understandable. It would be good for someone to officially tell us what's happening though, some of us are intelligent enough to accept that problems occur and the system needs to be tested.
I just hope its not FUBAR'd!

I guess I should have known better not to wait up for the servers to be available and also not to have a skill finish training at 8pm.
Thats 13 hours skill training time lost. 
I find myself being rather pithed about this but we were warned about a 'Bumpy Ride'.
Bugger.

ok a few things id like to say
1/ i work for a games service provider who offer the use of our servers for free
we would not dream of not updating our users when we have problems
2/ the comment of were only paying ú8 a month
we 4000+ users ccp are taking ú32k off use each and every month
3/ i think we all should be offered an extra day to our subs
ive been playing this for like 3 days and i am not impressed so far with the level of service provided we have all lost 4 and a half hours skill training (if its back up at 0:30 )
why oh why could they have not just started at the 11am down time ?
this would have given them plenty of time to sort probs b4 it got busy and for peeps to update eve
