The other day I was short of ISK so I decided to go around and try to sell some of the useless junk I had in some of my old lowsec hunting/mining/ratting grounds just waiting to be sold. One of the systems is 0.4. It's called TOON.
After setting waypoint to that location from EMPIRE and activated my autopilot, my IRL boss calls me on the phone, and asks me to come in earlyer than usual. I say: NO PROBLEM and off to work I go, thinking that it could not harm to leave EvE running meanwhile.
I forgot to turn off the autopilot.
After 10 hours I come home. My Thorax is just floating in lowsec at a gate. Nobody's shot at it, nobody's destroyed it, nobody has even tryed to convo me. I think: "WTF" and go to station and sell my stuff. I set waypoint back to empire. This only took me about 5 minutes. I hit autopilot and go to have a sandwich.
My Thorax got destroyed by gatecampers at the same gate while I was in the kitchen. |

I have seen a gatecamp form, vanish and reform in about 3 mins.
