I ran into this same kind of issue where some (a few) Level 3 Missions basically seemed impossible to do. However, if you stop and think about it for a few minutes you might understand why this maybe happening, or what is going on.
My experience; -My experience with this was a Level 3 Blockade Mission -In this mission it was Me (in a Drake) vs. 37 other ships (most of which were FirefoxÆs 28-30 of them) -To be honest I could not have completed this mission even in a Battleship, frankly. -With all these ships shooting at me the second I came out of warp the lag was horrific. In fact, in the end I lagged so much by the time I could react I was in a Pod my second or third warp back to the area.
When I first encountered this problem I was kind of miffed myself until I realized what the developers were doing, or are trying to do and what mistakes I had made.
* Just because you can fly a ship does not mean you can use it effectively.
* Try considering the fact that missions only go from Level 1 to Level 4 and the developers want you to play this game for years, not weeks or months.
* Try remembering the game is not about what ship you can fly, but character development. Skills in other words. I didnÆt even have Shield Upgrades IV, or Hull Upgrades IV for gods sake : P
I would also like to take this opportunity to say to CCP- That if we are going to be suck doing low missions for months or even years, and stuck in High Sector Space for months and yearsà -Maybe you should think about making more systems accessible (some of these low systems, high systems). Its getting crowded, as were all packed in a relatively small amount of systems compared to the overall amount that are available. I donÆt mind this so much, but a lot of people do.
Overall however, the issue really is NOT CCP, but the players and the new players themselves. Even I had to get popped on a Level 3 Mission before I realized my head was getting too big for my ship. My head got so big I donÆt even know how it fit in my Pod : P
Now that I stopped and thought about it. I realize how stupid I was being. taking a new alt (month or less) character on a Level 3 mission worth about 1mill ISK and 602 Loyalty points. That was way above the skills I had probably no matter what ship I was in.
This is not all CCPÆs fault. Some of us are just being really stupid : P |
