lol thats all they charged you? amazing. anyhoo good to have more targets around badi, maybe they dont use 3-4 stabs per ship and we can actually get some real work done down here.
Quote: They're going to make their lives a living hell and can field 20-40 man gangs around Badivefi to make their time in empire as bad as ours is now.
wait, youre saying you cant field 20-40 man gangs? amazing how as far as i have seen, thats the only time you will actually fight. but it is very nice to know that our 649 kills / 150 losses against you in the last 2 weeks hasnt gone unnoticed.

FIX didn't hire KIA, BOB. instructed it to be done.
We need to leave querious for a while to deal with 'other' things and know that the locals couldn't organise a dose of the clap in a thai brothel.
Welcome to the fray eddz, glad you can help us take down these Northern softies, should be no problem for you ,they have no staying power whatsoever.
And yes,as we promised your new alliance can have 'that region' - points ----> for your assistance

I don't think KIA are the ones that decide who they dec. If their employer says "dec yyy" they will, but the employer will have to pay. Do you really think KIA cares enough about you to declare on you out of their own pocket?

I haven't been playing all that long, but it seems to me that a 0.0 alliance hiring mercs is a pretty good predictor of defeat in eve, isn't it?
For the players who have been playing longer, how may instances can you name where a 0.0 alliance hired a high profile merc outfit and wasn't dead within a couple of months? What I have seen so far in the game makes it look like a 0.0 alliance hiring a mercinary is a sign of deperation and impending defeat. If I were a bookmaker, just based on what I've seen before, I'd be making longer odds on FIX about now. -----------------------------------------------

I will be collecting donations on Siggi Syra . IT will be donating 500m, and some other corps/FHC may also be donating.
I don't fly around with faction ships and implants!
If FIX are looking for handouts from their members to fund the contract though, can they fund me some implants and faction ships, so that KIA aren't disappointed when they pop me?

You're 100% correct: you haven't been playing all that long. FIX has hired merchs before for various things and so have many other alliances that are still around. All this means is that FIX wants to impede their ability to retreat and replace the large amount of isk the Coalition of United Northern Territories (a happily fortuitous acronym btw) has lost so far in the war.

I don't understand all the smack and bad talk here.
FIX hired some mercenaries so that they try to release the strain of the attacks on FIX at least a bit and to disturb the logistics. Sounds like a reasonable strategy to me. If it works or not I don't know. I have no clue in KIA's abilities. But some people are convinced that this operation will at least help a little bit.
And I am rather disappointed by all the smack of the so called 'good guys'. Looks like those people had too much contact with BoB so that they adapted to their flaming and smack talk capabilities on the forums here.
BTW posting internal mails is really bad style

You expect everyone in the "bandwagon" to act like saviors or something? Theres always gonna be some people who make 'childish' or 'smack' comments simply because in the end , this is just a game, well that and forums are always full of them.

Edited by: Chirinako on 24/02/2007 11:41:44 It amuses me when I read all this stuff about FIX being defeated because a mercenary corp decced the coalition.
Fix are far from defeat, lol. You guys are back to square 1 in terms of your invasion into Querious. We've killed more ships than we've lost, your attempt to screw up ED failed magnificently with all the POS's in that system back to FIX control, and FIX morale is extremely high.
The majority of FIX respects you as opponents from what I've seen. I know that Razor in particular seem to respect us, they're about the only alliance attacking Querious right now that don't smack us at any given opportunity so kudos to you Razor.
Tick Tock guys. Your first major assault on Querious flopped badly, we parried your blow and forced you back into Empire for a few days and reclaimed all our POS's back. Don't think FIX has been defeated.
Good luck with your offensive, KIA.

If we've been forced back to Empire why the need for a merc contract? surely you could use the ~6bil more effectively buying ships and equipment for your own members. The only real effect KIA is going to have is putting minor blocks in us getting ships to your space which suggests that thats what you are trying to avoid. Whats the matter? scared of us?

Yeah, I know - I shouldn't be posting in a thread trying to preach to dellusional people, but sometimes I can't help myself.
I'm going to refrain from commenting on our success in the war, or any reasons or tactical motivations for hiring merc corporations in general, other than saying that we are very pleased of the way things are going for us right now.
The one thing I do have to ask though is what types of ships do you coalition guys that seem to think 5-6 bil is a lot of isk field? That's like 20-25 T2 fitted battleships? Like a third of a fleet, one successful doomsday activation worth or the equivalent of a couple of dreads?
The one thing that you have going for you is numbers, plain and simple. You can field a few hundred people at any given time of the day, we can't. I for one look forward to having a few more pilots on our side, and quality ones at that.
PS. Don't forget to have fun out there, it's what games are for ------------------------------------------------ Swedes rule, too bad I'm intaki. |
