Okay i was discussing this with some of the corp and we think its a pretty good idea.
It's an idea.. to create an empire.
the idea is to create a corperation.. a mining corp whereby the miners are paid for what they produce.. they system works by "unity through devision".
The pay will work by a complicated system of ships/hours/total corperation wallet.
To elaborate on that i mean each miner will be paid a certain amount for the hours they work and the ships they pilot.. combined with the corperations total wallet.
for example: Retrievers: 15 mil an hour covetors: 22 mil an hour hulks: 30 mil an hour machinaw: 25 mil an hour
80% of total isk made by the sale of minerals will be paid to the workers. 20% of the total isk made by the workers will go towards the corperation.. such as replacing ships.. and eventualy paying for the alliance.
once this system is established the alliance can be formed and the combat wing can be created. The combat wing will allow us to travel to lower security space and defend us from assaults coming from other alliances/ corperations.
A further devision of the alliance will introduce a system of corperations/ mining teams will be introduced meaning 5-10 man corperations. These corperations will be in competition with one and other meaning the team that produces the most minerals/ works the most hours in total will obtain a bonus such as an additional 100mil per miner for their work.
As the alliance expands the total number of miners will grow.. meaning the devision of pay will increase.. which means each miner will earn less.. which is where the balance is key. The balance is the rigid system of 80%-20% of isk going to the wages-corperation.. which basicly means the more one miner mines he more that miner earns.. which means the more the alliance earns.. which means the individual pay increases.. "hence unity through devision".
"Unity through devision" refers to the teams.. each mining team is in competition with the others to produce more or work more total hours. Hence the bonus system.. each week the top running team will be selected to be given the bonus.
You might be thinking "what if one team has 10 hulks and the other team has 10 retrievers"... well this doesn't happen due to a high level of management.
The management side of things refers to the personel.. of 5 or so members of a team that looks after wages, personel, reimbursment, and production.
The 20% that the corperation earns will go towards this.. if you or a member of your team loses their ship it will be replaced by a member of the managment team.
The wage system works by two main factors:
1: hours worked.. each miner will "clocked" in to working, this records the hours worked and the total isk that will be paid combined with the 2nd factor which is "produce"
2: produce.. each mining team will be allocated a secure can in the "core station".. this means a password is given out to the members of that team to keep their minerals in.. no other team will be given their password.. which links to the bonus system i mentioned before.
The main form of pay is the bonuses.. or achievements by the alliance or corperations. This means every time the alliance reaches a goal or a team produces the most minerals that week they will be paid a larger sum than their hourly salery.
Goals will be posted on the website.. these will be such things as creating the first capital ship or winning a war.
Slackers will not recieve pay.. since the system of hourly wages and team acheivements will be given to another mining team. Fairness is the main goal of this idea.. meaning if we have 100 workers and 20 slack off.. the 80 hard working participants will be paid for their work.. essentialy isolating the 20 slackers from any form of pay.

The core station: this will be in a system around 5 jumps from jita.. this gives the advantage of being near a trade hub without being swamped by other pilots.
Mining will take place in 0.5 systems or above until the combat wing is created and we have enough pilots to support the alliances needs, though any ships lost in 0.4 or below will have to be replaced by the pilots own means until the combat wing is running. Anything can be mined.. which means personal preference will be a bonus.
The corperation does not work for its self it works for the pilots that are a part of it.
Please comment on any ideas you have to improve the Empire
The bonuses to each team will be such things as 100mil for each miner or a set of implants.
It will be decided nearer the time.. or personal requests.
Each team will have a team leader.. a trusted member of the allaince who will look over the work.. clock times.. and make sure no minerals run away.
The minimum requirement to join the alliance will be able to pilot a retriever.
The pay will be weekly and any ships lost during the week will be replaced as soon as possible.
As the alliance grows and things progress things such as rigs, implants, and ship modules will be brought into account .. this means if you have a hulk with t1 miners you will earn less than a miner with t2 lasers.
In each teams container there will be an individual container for each miner.. if the container does not reach a certain average amount for the hours worked the miner will not be paid for the hour.. though the average will not be stupidly high.. this is just to stop miners from clocking in then not mining. Each team leader will be given a list of passwords by his team for their containers.. and ultimatly for the teams minerals.
Each corperation in the alliance will be named by the leader.. these will make up the teams.
You work for your corperations benifit and ultimatly your own, if the other members feel let down they will inform the CEO/leader and warnings will be issued.
In an overlook.. hard working miners will be earning hundreds of millions in a week depending on how their team performs and how the alliance isk total holds.
The wages will be regularly updated every week by one of the alliance managers and posted in Eve-mails along with corperation details such as who is producing most at the current time. The wallet total will be announced weekly on the website and all will have access to see how it is raising.
After we have the main mining wing of the alliance running we will also add other factors such as mission runners and ratters. This will be incorperated at a later date.

Along with this i have discussed further ideas with my fellow members.. though i am an alt of my main so improvments have been made.. but this is just the basics.

I was a part of a corp in which we had an ingame site where admin would register you or something, and, when we had mining ops, you log on, input type of ship you are flying and it had automatic counter of ISK. Example: you log in as a hauler and there's price for 1 hour of working. When you are done, admin stops timer and corp transfer you ISK you earned. I am not much into web development stuff, but it was cool, there were types of ships (3 barges, every race hauler, and bs, if you are tanker), you would simply log on, choose type of ship you are in and that's it. |

The alliance will be up and running within the next two months.. im hoping to have about 500 miners in 0.5 before the combat wing is created.. though i shouldnt really be posting this on Eve-online forums since some of the things are confidential.
