So during the free weekend, I got back on my old account (Created in 2014), after 2 years, and I played for the 2 days. After the free weekend, I tried adding game time to my account, but it said that I didn't own EVE, so I couldn't add game time. Out of frustration, I tried deleting EVE from the steam folder and deleted all local content from steam, but that may have just made things worse. What can I do now? The only thing it will let me buy from steam is the Core pack, but I'm afraid that will delete my old account. I can't even open up the steam EVE launcher. |

Will adding game time from the website after logging in from my steam account work? |

Log in through Steam on the website, and hopefully Steam and EVE will register together. If that doesn't work let me know and we can think of different things. |

Haha yep, I am using the standalone launcher now. Started with Steam, ran out of trial even though my account said I had 1 month paid. Oh well, in the end Steam is no good in this galaxy. |

When you buy the Core Starter Pack on Steam you don-Št get a trial ... if you played on a trial account it was NOT your Steam version of EVE but a separate non-steam trial account. This is a common mistake made by players who don-Št read the stickied information in the EVE Steam forum and follow the instructions on how to set up your EVE Steam account.
Here's the link to the thread I'm talking about: http://steamcommunity.com/app/8500/discussions/0/371918937259369083/
Since Steam installs EVE with the old launcher as default you also need to follow the instructions in the following thread: http://steamcommunity.com/app/8500/discussions/0/412449508273585193
For easier access there is also this thread which allows you to create a user name/password for the EVE Steam Account: http://steamcommunity.com/app/8500/discussions/0/392184522701567142/
I'm not trying to be a douche but claiming that EVE through Steam doesn-Št work is simply false, I know that for a fact since I'm playing via Steam myself and haven-Št had any issues what so ever. |

Great to hear ... now I'd like to see CCP make a sticky thread here with information found on the Steam Forum for Steam related issues. The reason why this would be great is that EVE players who play via Steam prefer this forum over the steam forum for a huge number of reasons.
