Is it allowed?
- Eula says no. - You can interpret yes. - Cyno networks use it also, so thats a yes to. - Many use carrier accounts and share it when needed.
So account sharing is used a lot.
Now i want to use a RL friends account for a while. He has suspended his account. the $15 are not woth it for him to play the game. He told me i can use his 2 chars. Actual he likes it because i will pay the subscription fee and train. So can he log in from time to time when im not using the account to have some fun also.
Is this allowed?

I think that the EULA and the recent Devblog make it quite clear that account sharing is not allowed.
There are 10 sorts of people in the world - those who understand binary, and those who do not. |

in a word "NO"
sorry dude this falls under account sharing. thing is even if you are now paying for your friends account its still not your account. if you transfer your freinds character to your account then yes you can do that but what you described here is not allowed

Officially it is against the EULA.
However they have also not enforced it as well as it should have been enforced in the past. That may well change in the future as they try to regain the trust of the playerbase.

No, the EULA is "the law" and as the dev blog said it has to be illegal because it is and will be causing a lot of trouble and crying around the Eve-world when friends are no longer friends etc. etc.
You can get to play on his character by creating your own account(s) and getting the characters transfered (cost real life money for the service and to prevent most unserious people from stealing characters from another account) You have to do this (mostly if people buy characters) because the account will ALWAYS belong to the person opening it and CANNOT be transfered.
Then your friend has no longer access to those characters (still has his empty accounts).
Is it "account sharing" if his friend comes over and gets to play the characters without geting login-details (no access but he gets to control the characters)?

Its a stupid rule.
Sharing does not = less income for ccp. Example: babysitters.
Sharing does not = more problems for GM's because of theft and drama. Example: "I was haxxor'd"
So its a just in case rule, just in case.

Well RKK amongst others ask their members to leave a slot open for Cyno alt that the Corp directors can use at will... Soooo if they can get away with it, why cant you.

Thanks for your comments.
Lets summarize: - "NO" its not allowed. Its against the Eula. - But...its done by many (who is not important!) - CCP fears the trouble that comes with it when peeps claim their account.
Conclusions: >> "NO" its not allowed. Its against the Eula. >> But...its done by many So this is called "Gedogen" in dutch. It means officially you cannot smoke weed. But what the heck. All do it and its impossible to stop it. So go ahead.
>> CCP fears the trouble that comes with it when peeps claim their account.
This means that my RL friends i know now for over 15 years get a fight over some eve account. Lol yeh right. I See them a few times a week. And i think there are more important things then Eve in this case.
I know enough...

worded so well, you make it sound like the directors log in directly and use the account, when i would imagine it means have a cyno alt in one of your slots available for use if its needed. so if a director asks in corp if anyone has a cyno alt? it would increase the chance that any one of the XXXX amount of people in corp can reply yes, rather than wait for a cyno char to log in if a fleet needed moving sharpish.
