I've never setup a POS before, and need to know about fuel costs.
Is the fuel cost on the tower all there is? Or does adding other parts like weapons, silos, etc. require more fuel?
I've had people tell me it does, and that it doesn't. Anyone know for sure?

test on singularity (public test server) if you don't want to waste isk on Tranquility.
Make a copy of your "eve" folder and use to copy to connect to test server.

Onlining equipment at a pos do consume more fuel - the increase depends on the PG/CPU stats of the equipment being onlined. Just anchoring the equipment next to the pos does not increase fuel consumption, only onlining it does.
There are some spreadsheets in this forum that will give you an indication of how much fuel consumption will increase with each piece of equipment onlined - unfortunately don't have the links. (Evesearch ftw! )

A POS needs eight fuels for regular operation (Enriched Uranium, Oxygen, Mechanical Parts, Coolant, Robotics, Isotopes, Liquid Ozone, and Heavy Water). Two of those fuels (Liquid Ozone and Heavy Water) are consumed at a rate proportional to how much CPU and power grid are being used by online structures (the amounts listed in the "show info" for a POS tower are for 100% usage). The other six fuels are consumed at a fixed rate, regardless of PG/CPU usage.

The cost on the tower's showinfo Fuel tab is the MAX cost of the tower's fuel requirements. If you don't use 100% of power and cpu, then it will be slightly cheaper for the heavy water and ozone.
