Edited by: Ice Ghost on 25/02/2007 00:17:03 The most funny thing about this war was I believe we have developed some kind of sympathy towards our enemies, mostly IAC. They made our existance a bit miserable, but funny ;) The same for KOS - fighting with even chances is good :)
All I can say - I respect you guys for your achievments, you have build an empire in Catch, however how long is it going to last? The future will show us all.
Good luck guys, see you in the round two ;)

Edited by: 0August0 on 25/02/2007 02:03:21 Perhaps now that ISS and IAC are so huggy-huggy kissy poo it's time for the Coalition to make ISS a deal which stops driving them into the enemies camp. Lets not forget that before this war started ISS and BoB were long term enemies and i'd bet they wouldn't be allied today if IAC and the Goons didn't force ISS into it by running them out of Catch at the point of a sword just to flank LV.
Besides i'm sure the coalition could put ISS's logistical know how and industrial might to good use while simmultaniously depriving BoB of it. . . . Regards, August |

I would think ISS has better moral grounds then to jump the bandwagon and join the goons side. ----------

Anyone remember NFC? The controversy surrounding the NFC pilot who lit a cyno for the goons? That little "incident" was what stopped D2 remaining neutral in the Deklein war and turned the tide of the battle, resulting first in the annihilation of NFC and then SPARTA when they tried to save their friends from total destruction.

It's not just a huggin & kissing, just almost two months of fun ( fighting IAC & friends ).
ISS always was a bit different, I cannot say better, but we're still trying to be mature, personally I'm sick of all this smack here. It's just a game, game which reflects your true nature. ISS was business because corps which joined this alliance prefered to build rather then destroy, we never played bullies. We have never said we are uber ( like others used to say ) neither we are cowards.
If you ask what was good for ISS about this conflict?
I cannot say anything on behalf of my alliance, but I can speak of behalf of my corp. Before all this started in my corp I saw only miners and raters running away to a safe POS when something red appeared on local. Now, I can see my corp mates in various roaming gangs, I can see people who prefer to fly and shoot something different then the belt rats.
This conflict made us stronger, maybe smaller but tightened together.
I cannot say what the other ISS corps are going to do, but my corp WILL STAY fighting alongside LV/BOB/RISE/FIX/DSA/EO & others. This time is not about the business, it's about something more important, something any ISK cannot buy.

GJ thus far IAC/KOS et allies. It has been an enjoyable fight, if you overlook some seriuod lag at times. I wish you all the best now its your turn on the defence and ours on the offence. Guess you could look at it like the half-time oranges have been eaten and its time for round two.

Swings and roundabouts really I remember being extremely critical of BoB when the chucked ISS out of Querious and Delve some time back with about 1 weeks notice breaking the agreement you had.... now your allies again, next week who knows?

Well I suppose you can look at it like that if you want to keep a real simplistic view on things.
The NFC was an alliance born out of necessity rather than will. The motions we already in place for the death of the NFC long before the goons turned up. It started with the petty squabbling of certain member corporations, 30 man, five hour committee meetings to decide what to do. D2 allowing IRON to base their cap ships out of D2 stations, while supposedly remaining neutral. Member corps in the NFC deciding to turn their backs on the NFC to get into bed with IRON and manipulating people with false intel. Oh not to mention FLAÆs greed.
Personally im glad IRON came back to take their space, the NFC was a*****up from the beginning, IRON just accelerated its death, and for that I thank them.
The goons were merely a parting shot from the NFC to D2, and the responsibility for it got pinned on one of my members, because he dropped the cyno. No one seemed to care that the decision was made by other people.

We're not huggy, and who would want to be kissy with a bunch of drunks? They smell of stale beer with a light hint of week old vomit. :(
I think we're more at the stage of shaking hands after we shooty shooty. We'd shake hands before as well, but who has time for formalities when we've got F keys to hit?
I just wish I had more time to play. I haven't gotten a killmail in a week. I have to say that this smack-free PVP has given me a lot more enjoyment than the stuff that was going on back in F4/ZX. :)

Shortly after 0800 today, LV Calico was retaken by a force of 40 comprising ISS, LV and friends. All respect to KOS for trying to keep us off our target when they were outnumbered, and escaped with minimal losses. I look forward to the next round of engagements, and many thanks to all the pilots who came to the party - friend and foe alike.

What I said was that it was the catalyst for their destruction: There is a world of difference. D2's involvement turned the tide massively in favour of IRON/FLA (just as if they had sided with NFC/OPUS and later SPARTA, it would have turned it against them - so much greater a power were they than any of the combatants at the time). In your partisanism and zealotry, you managed to miss my point; it's evidence of the turning tides in New Eden - where once sworn enemies are allied against what they perceive as a greater threat to their existence than they are to each other.
