I'm probably all wrong but I'm seeing lots of speculation recently in Jita. There are some specific moongoo products that are literally spiking, same with some T2 components and ships too. In the meanwhile, plex is plummeting. I'd have never imagined it would fall south of the 900 M after it hit the 1.2 B and more. It looks to me that the changes in nullsec are the only actual reason for all these instability. So, I'm thinking about stopping my activity for a while and see what's going on, not that I don't like to go fishing afterall. Anything on your radars you guys can share? |

The plex crash is more likely caused by the citadel release. People cashing in their plex hordes to buy citadel bpo's, plus the plex sale that went with it.
The T2 market is more likely than not caused by the loss of a lot of steady reaction farms in the north. I'd be willing to bet a lot of them have been running constant for years, so not that they're taken out of the equation there's a major lack of supply for a while.

So that's where my 2.6B in T1 production came from last week!

T2 stuff is spiking because people like me are making literally hundreds of T2 guns and modules.
our last big capital moveop had almost a thousand people in caps
and all of them need an updated fitting
and we are only one of the big players in the game.

Okay, now you're just speculating on why it's called speculating |

How would the introduction of something that takes plex to produce (aurum for skill extractors and game time for training) cause a drop in the price of plex? |

The times are volatile.
Long standing goo producers/suppliers have been interrupted. Stockpiles are probably dwindling High demand/ ISK heavy items hit the market
This seems to be just a few highly disruptive market related issues recently occurring.

Have not fully understood it yet, there are also price spikes in materials which are of no use in popular or new items ... others are spiking while the ingredients are actually not. Let's see and grab the profits as long as it lasts.

It's very simple, the ingridients for making all that new T2 stuff is causing supply to drop while demand is ever increasing. Suppliers have no other thing to do than to cash in. Same goes for the PI market as well. |

There was a lot of market turmoil caused by a spike in demand for Entosis Link IIs recently. That spike is now over but by god it was profitable.

No, players are buying skill injectors and cashing in plex to buy the injectors in quantity. The market price for plex started to turn downward when injectors were introduced. The market became awash in plex so price went down. I'm sure there were other factors but I noticed the plex price drop at the same time injectors were introduced.
To the op: I've seen some economic anomalies as well so I've made some production changes recently. Using my capital outside of what I usually build. |
