Serendipity Lost Repo Industries 2046	Posted - 2016.05.18 13:11:37 - [1] - Quote I have an alt that I'd like to put in an empire merc corp for good times and explosions. I can use TS or vent (I haven't ever used any of the other voice comms, but I'm willing to learn). My alt can fly T1 BC of all races and has all core support skills to level 4 and I've just begun polishing them off to level 5 (starting w/ gunnery supports). I fly a few T2 frigates but no t2/t3 dessy or any t2 cruiser and up. I have some pvp experience. Mainly US TZ in the evenings (believe it or not I actually hold down a job, raise children and all that other stuff). Is there anyone out there that will take in my alt? I don't want to name the alt, I'd prefer Nitshe out me in a few days or weeks (how ever long it takes him). I'm interested in doing this to add some empire spice to my somewhat stagnant eve life. Check my kb and you can see I'm in a rut.

My eve involes: 1. approach 2. lock 3. turn on prop mod (situational) 4. start shooting 5. apply webs/scrams/neuts 6. collect loot

We ignored them, but on the last day of their dec one of my guys was moving a new ship into the wh, saw them. We weren't busy, so he got a thrasher to keep them around. We showed up and had a nice little tussle. I don't really move corps all that much, so poaching probably won't be an issue. Do guys really get kicked for stupid losses? I guess I'll get the feel of things as my alt gets back into the business. My current impression (mostly assumption w/ no facts to back it up) is that current 'merc' corps mostly do mass decs and farm players. Not that there is anything wrong with that - current war dec mechanics support and encourage this sort of play - I get that. What I'm getting at is that if a corp is just farming players and there isn't much competition for contracts - I'm not seeing any driving motive to kick anyone. I'm sure I'll see more of what's what once I get back into it. As stated somewhere up above - I accept losses as confirmation that I'm taking even/challenging fights. You can't really get rewards without taking some risks. I may be getting into the wrong business - time will tell.

I joined on the fly and showed up in the ship I was in. No judgment by the regulars. The fleet was well run and we did some fun stuff. The only frustration I had was with the slower..... everything on my alt. Warping, locking.... everything. My noob is such a noob. Gaaaahhh. I had a great time. The EU time comms were a bit stuffy, but not too bad. The US late night comms were pretty funny. I had to turn down the volume (I use speakers) after my wife's 3rd eye roll... well the 1st two were eye rolls, the 3rd was somewhere between 'really???' and 'wtf?' (Still smiling about it) The only downside I see (comparing 5 or so war decs that we carried back in 08 to the substantially larger number this group carries) is sorting out and setting up my neutral alt(s) with such a large number of target corps. "screw this" ruled the night after the 8th corp was added and there were still many many to go. If there is an easy way to do this.... teach me (and be quick about it).
