as title says, i always wonder why the Naga never got missles, talos got hybred, tornado projectile, amarr lazer, then we got naga with hybreds again.
food for thought, can someoen explain to me why this might be bad? or maybe just allow naga to do both! |

Naga did have bonuses for large missiles when it was on Singularity, but just before CCP released the ships, they removed the bonuses for missiles from it |

Naga was a missile boat initially on Singularity and absolutely ROFL-stomped. Heaven forbid a great missile ship existed.
If brute force isn't working, you're just not using enough.

This was also before missiles sucked or, rather, before all other weapon systems were buffed. Torpedo Naga with 100% missile velocity would be a riot!

I don't remember the toro naga being that good on Sisi. It was slow, had horrible range, and after fitting the torps and BCU sucked fitting anything else. |

No, no. It did. In early testing.
It turns out that the flight time of missiles made the Naga a poor contender against any of the other attack battlecruisers at any decent range (see: Attack BCs were intended to utilize range above all else).
And yes... there were riots about it. Then people realized that a rail Naga is pretty sweet (hell yeah ~500dps @ ~250km with a 30k EHP tank and 1000+ m/sec speed)

NAGA NAVY ISSUE (or we can call it Naga Mordu's/Navy/Missile Issue just a idea atm)
+5% bonus to Cruise, Torp rate of fire
+10% bonus to Velocity
Role Bonus
+200% velocity of Cruise and Torp missles
-50% flight time of Cruise and Torp missles
-95% Powergrid need of Cruise and Torp Launchers
-50% CPU need of Crusie and Torp Launchers
8 missile Launcher hard points
6 medium
3 low
Description:
The Naga Navy/Mordu issue was made by a aspiring Mordu dude who loved missiles and wanted to build a attack battle cruiser that had battleship sized missles, but due to his laziness and not wanting to design a new ship, he teamed up with the Caldari and refitted the Naga to use Missles using the Mordu Doctrine of Missle design on VELOCITY! |

Although it would be neat to see a missile-based Naga, I just don't see how you'd make the switch with all of the existing hybrid-based setups in use. Large missiles aren't great ouside of PvE excpt for shooting structures, so there's that issue as well.

Yeah the whole "shoot and scoot" style isn't really compatible with waiting 10-20s for your volley to hit.
Also: leave my goddamb Naga alone. It is beautiful and elegant and if any of you bads try and touch it, I will hunt you down.
