Hrm, that error seems more hardware on your machine than eve client related. A quick googling of the error message shows a lot of people who have it ended up having bad RAM. Maybe try running memtest86 and seeing if your RAM has any issues?

Disable the sound.
This happens to me if I am running more than 1 eve client with the sound enabled. only have sound enabled on 1 client.
This does not happen when running in vista though.

Edited by: Williams Madmax on 04/06/2007 21:50:59 I also have that bad_pool_caller mostly when quitting playing eve.
It also happen ingame but very rarely. No others games give me that BSOD. (FEAR, Dungeons & Dragons Online, Oblivion, Nexus, UO, Axis & allies RTS, Warcraft III, Battlefield 1942, Battlefield II only to list a few)
However, I don't play with more than one client.
I've opened the log file generated by windows when crashing only to find out that windows wasn't able to find which drivers was causing the problem. Restarting at square 1. (Most of the times BSOD are cause by drivers but not always)
I doubt it is from the video drivers because my second computer use the same build number drivers (ATI) and that crash (BSOD) never happened.
However the sound card are not the same.
I also have sometimes pfn something BSOD when quitting eve. Do you?
Automatic reboot is a feature of windows which can be disable or enable. By default, it is set to automatic reboot.
Let us know if you find something more.
Oh, one last thing, I've reinstalled video drivers, sound card drivers and EVE from fresh, nothing worked. |

I can confirm this fixes the issue. This has been the fix for the issue for over a year now ;)

Its your sound, I had the exact same problem, didnt matter what drivers I used. I replaced my sound card, no issues thus far.
