Let us collect known issues of POSes in this thread of doom.
Let us pray every 27. of a month for better help from the gods of this universe.
Let us create a self-help group where we can share our feelings with each other.
We shall find a meeting place in space where we can meet and do the praying.

Cannot unanchor a POS as a workaround Additional Info: This is not a bug, since you have to empty structures first. You can unanchor a POS, just not if you are affected by other bugs. Official Response: None
POS-Manager fails to log out/falls asleep at a POS Additional Info: Cry me a river, build a bridge and get over it. Work harder, get your lazy PvPers to help you. ;-) Official Response: None
POS-Manager fails to find a victim for his/her situation in particular. Additional Info: Relax, calm down. You won't help us POS-Managers if you cause havoc in the forums. Thank you very much.
I will update this thread every once in a while. Also more reports are more than welcome with a source, I will add them here.
To prevent cluttering up the thread, feel free to mail me ingame. I've also created a channel "Pos Chaos Management" that can be used temporarily.
Please note: Giving out information about your bug might be a security risk, use an alt if necessary to ask questions.

about modules flying of at high speed there are 2 work arounds that i know of
1) just let it fly away (mine retuned to grid after dt about 200km away and i coud just scoop them)
2) get a ceptor and web them this will slow them down enuff for a huler to warp to the ceptor and scoop them - silly i know but it works

I'm having trouble with removing ammo from guns on my pos...I can't take it out so I can't unanchor my guns. This needs fixing ASAP.

Issue: Alliance access granted to Mobile Labs and Manufacturing arrays, however alliance members cannot create BPCs, perform T2 research or do manufacturing since they cannot access the module storage. ----------------------------------------------- Adm Vladimir Tinakin CFO Hadean Drive Yards |

Edited by: Garett McAndrew on 28/02/2007 15:52:10 Hmm, possible Workaround for not being able to unanchor a POS:
Pay mercenaries to kill the thing, then try to petition the loss of the tower and modules as well as the service charge you've paid to mercenaries to do the dirty work.
Hmmm...
(no guarantees that this might work. This can trigger unhappyness among GMs I guess)

Would have to find some pretty dumb mercenaries to do this to a bugged empire POS.

Hi, After reading a lot of threads about POS issues, however I cannot find anything about our issue.
Our problem is as follows.
1) We have currently suffer from the POS mail bug and only our CEO receives the mails and no one else. NOrmally 6 people receive the mails 2) Now our CEO was on vacation and we missed fueling this POS, it went offline -> **** happens 3) Our POS is attacked and some modules where destroyed but nothing too bad (lucky us), 1 of the things destroyed was a moon harvester. That mail we all received! 4) We immediately fly there, fuel it, anchor a new harvester and other stuff
Now here starts the problem 5) As the picture shows, harvester and silo types are set correctly and linked correctly (info indicates this too) 6) The moment I select apply to safe the linked structures it "resets" as not linked
Now we've spend hours trying several combinations, here's what we tried
- bring harvester and silo offline - used the "remove links" button - linked it again - brought harvester online - selected apply result -> reset again
- bring harvester and silo offline - used the "remove links" button - linked it again - brought harvester online and silo online - selected apply result -> reset again
- bring harvester and silo offline - used the "remove links" button - linked it again - brought harvester online and silo online, this time waited 60 minutes (all online and harvesting) - selected apply result -> reset again
- bring harvester and silo offline - used the "remove links" button - linked it again - brought harvester online and silo online - fly away - flying back result -> reset again
- bring harvester and silo offline - used the "remove links" button - linked it again - brought harvester online and silo online - switch to other panel tab, question asked "do you want to apply changes" -> selected yes result -> reset again
http://dl.eve-files.com/media/0703/POS_link_1.jpg http://dl.eve-files.com/media/0703/POS_link_2.jpg -> Picture of the reset
Can some from the DEV's have a look, please?
Secondly we are loosing money now and credit by our buyers. |

A simple, more GM-friendly and less messy solution is to file a "Stuck" petition, as a GM can remove the stuff that stick the module(s) for you. The alternative is to take a lot of screenshots, and start filing for reimbursment after buying new modules/tower (if you were just relocating your POS).

Actually there most likely are goods stuck in it, as a result of a prod/copy job started by a third party to your corp.
EDIT: in this specific case (Large Ship Assembly Array) maybe your job was started before and ended after the rules change on using Large Ship AA in space above .4, or maybe you just don't have a Ship Maintenance Array in range to deliver a job ?
Because you can't see hangars that don't belong to your corporation the array will seem empty, when it really isn't. GMs have proven to be helpful in this case, as mentioned above.

there were aparently bookmarks in the arrays , which wernt there when we looked
which leads me to beleve if you offline and online a pos builing module the bookmark will disapere to your eyes but is infact still there leading to problems
and as you say we filed a "stuck" patition and they were removed. but i beleve it is a pos problem that needs to be resolved

Edited by: Garett McAndrew on 03/03/2007 20:51:18 I've already asked a GM for help, without revealing the conversation to much: They will fix it on the dev-side and therefore not take the stuff out; we have to wait till tuesday (at least, no guarantees, I don't see a patch announcement).
Or did anyone had success getting that sorted out? I'm sitting in space for like a week now hoping to get my stuff done. And it will probably be two weeks...

POS shield hardeners have a stacking penalty. The POS management screen shows shield resistance as if they did not have a stacking penalty.
Confirmed still present on Sisi. Not tested on TQ since 12/06. |
