Trying to figure out, how the hell the corp., insured ships work. An Example eve information says that putting ship into corp hangar, this is a wrong, if its corp insured. Its really lagging information and very confusing, My problem is simple, I have the corp insured ship, now I want to transfer it by contract to another corp member. How is this done? I know I cant trust the eve information about voiding...
I just need to get the facts straight, how this all works.

Edited by: Pepperami on 27/02/2007 21:07:07 To insure a ship for corp use: Place in corporate hanger (any hanger) go to insurance option - select the ship and insure as normal. The money comes from the corp wallet.
That ship can now be used by any corp member and when it is destroyed the insurance will go to corporate wallet and it can be passed around members (but cannot be repackaged)
Edit: oops, sorry didn't realise the contract part - test it with a frigate and let us know if it works ;)

Pepperami covered the essential points, but I'm not sure whether contracting voids insurance or not.
What I suggest you do is just drop the ship in the member's personal hangar - nice, simple, and guaranteed not to void insurance!

But before you can do that, you have to assemble the ship.

Sounds like you need to test it with a shuttle.

Shuttles are uninsurable. so you can't do it in a shuttle
If you insure it yourself, you can't get the money from it, because the insurance has been voided (which sucks massively)
