I am a few weeks out from getting t2 Large Blasters and was wondering if it is worth trying to pvp with Named blasters with antimatter or should i just stick to a blaster Brutix for a few more weeks.

Its all about personal enjoyment tbh.
If you can afford to lose it, and you will find it fun, go for the modals until you get T2. If it will be frustrating to you getting beat or if just can't afford to lose the ship and laugh about it, don't do it.
There are lots of T1 fitted BSs out there that you would probably be able stand toe-to-toe with and have a good fight.
If you enjoy putting civilian autocannons and a shield tank on your megathron...then do it. Eve is a game, do whatever YOU find enjoyable, not what other people expect of you.

Eve is primarily a PVP game and hence our focus is on making that experience balanced.

i flew a t1 modal blasterthron for ages before getting t2, yes t2 makes a big difference but i still pwnd with the modals tbh.
yeah if u go up against a decent t2 setup other bs then ur screwed but i beat so many ravens with t2 gear, a t2 geddon of a certain rather well known person who got embaressed when he saw what turret i was using but they will remain nameless.
try it. also modals are much better fitting than t2's so u can actually fit ions with a great tank or electrons with a super duper tank

I would have to say it's definitely worth it... you're still doing *a lot* of DPS.

Modals use 20% less cap than T2, so that's another advantage. -- NMTZ forum |
