It's not like every gate in highsec doesn't have a dozen cans on it with various messages to pilots passing through. Also, when wrecks were introduced, wern't we all told repeatedly by the devs that multiple instances of the same object on grid DOES NOT cause lag. That having ratters who are not salvaging leave wrecks in every belt for every NPC killed regardless of loot content would not cause any additional lag at all. Surely this applies to cans as well?

A GM showed up at the area, and a few minutes later, all the cans where picked up by the players. Dunno what happened specifically, but I feel thats rather telling.

I lost all respect for the Goonies when the joined sides with the kings of not-quite exploiters Red Alliance. I love how everyone points fingers at BOB for exploits when alliances in the coalition have been pushing the limits of game mechanics for years. Dropping BM cans, cans infront of station undocks, node crash tactics. And lets not forget the coalition has the best logoffers in the game. Respect the l33t coalition.

It's there to be used and this is an example. If it's not, make it public that this is an exploit so people know it fro m that moment on. Hell, if some game designer woke up on the good side of the bed he could even propose a correction to be implemented into a patch or evolution... ...so people should stop hanging onto legends that a GM came, stroke his baguette and all the cans went poof.

According to GM's, you used to be able to CTRL+Q and then log on an alt in Jita on the same account so your main dissapeared, because you must have wanted to check the market at that very critical combat moment. It may just have been that goons wanted to store their cans outside the station and advertise like everyone does all over empire. And now this is an exploit? I call it an ingenious use of ingame mechanics. Elite Scouting

Regardless, the point is being missed by a lot. Its not about LAG, its the fact that conquerables are a problem, undocking from them is hard at the best of times. The positioning of the cans is to bump people that try to undock enabling there rag tag fleet to score a cheap gank. We removed them without incident as far as im aware, my post is to draw attention to this tactic and allow the members of the eve community to discuss. My success in this game is personal, I dont require the forums to re-inforce my e-peen its already big enough. Mitch Dark-Rising
