See title.
Much like Data and Relic sites appearing in c1-c3 space, it would only make sense to me to have a few pirate combat sigs appear in w-space.
Now i realize that would make living in lower-end wormholes quite a bit more lucrative but i'm curious as to which ideas the community has about handling this.
As of right now there are NO combat signatures in w-space, save for the sleeper spawns inside their relic and data sites.
Having instances and expeditions to follow in my Journal was fun when i did them in k-space, but i miss them, and would love to see a w-space variant to keep things flavourfull.
Please post other ideas and suggestions on how we could make wormhole space more engaging for that one person that is online and when the rest of the corp isn't |

Pirate faction sites are too easy. If you want solo layups - join sov null. I'm not trying to be a jerk here, wh are difficult and I'd like to keep them that way. So far the dumbing down of ratting hasn't really made inroads to WH space.
I would prefer that wh maintain eve in hard mode status. |

that ship sailed years ago when players mastered WH mechanics and done everything they can to ensure CCP changes as little about WH as possible.
my god when HAW were first announced and they talked about how much of a damage cut they were taking i thought Escolation farmers were going to have an aneurysm

Escallations ain't what they used to be but even in the past ships were committed to the site. Once in warp to the site - you were in it to win it. Landing on grid for an escalation meant you were pointed, webbed and neuted - the 'oh, someone showed up on d-scan, I'll just warp back to my POS' was never an option.
I get your point though, so I'll be more specific. Sleeper sites require commitment (ravens just got fixed). You have to warp into the site and get pointed by at least half the ships in the site. Barring a MJD - you aren't going anywhere until you or the site is done. The highest of the high end anoms have what? 1 frig that points you? The commitment to running a null anom is as close to zero as you can get without actually being there.
I don't want wh pooped up w/ a bunch of lameass null anoms that don't require the 'I'm pointed by 12 sleepers' commitment that wh sites do. WH truesec is -1 for a reason. I say keep it that way. If you want to run any sites in any wh - you should expect that you HAVE to fight any player that comes along and wants to engage you.
C1s and C2s, sure put in some pirate sites. Give them a beacon so I don't have to scan them down. I just don't want 'null safe mode' where an Ishtar can pve safely 2 gates into a site that needs to be scanned down. |
